What do you do if you have "mixed" ticket types?

For example, say you've got two seats and two GA (or two RZ and two GA, whatever).  How's that supposed to work?  If I (e.g.) have a seat, but bought a GA for a friend, I obviously can't actually go in with them for GA.  So how does one handle this??

Contact TM (either by their website or phone - 1-800-653-8000) and explain them your issue...

Talked to TM on Saturday.  They weren't a ton of help--basically, ended up saying the thing to do is to contact the venue and ask them.  That actually makes some sense--so I'd suggest that for anybody in this situation.  Maybe also post whatever answer/instructions you get (along with the venue in question) here.
