Can RZ be resold?

Recommended Posts

If I break down and buy resale RZ tics on Stubhub or one of those sites, will I have a problem? I already got ticks for NJ in another section and it says I have to show credit card. So if I buy them from someone else, obviously I don't have their card to show when I go to the venue!

In one listing the seller said he would meet the buyer at the venue to give the ticks. Is this because they have to go in with me, show their card and get me in?

Sorry if this is a clueless question. But it seems risky to get these ticks and then not be allowed in.

Not clueless at all. I wonder the same thing, how secondary tickets can be sold if original purchaser id is required. I'm coming from New Zealand and have GA to San Francisco and LA shows, but I'm tempted to try for Red Zone in the general LA onsale, given we're coming such a long way! If so I would have two GA to on sell. I'm guessing I could just meet a buyer there or sell at the gate....

I purchased for Red Zone for NJ first show. As I understand it as you mentioned person must be present to pick up the tickets. A friend also told me that because of this arrangment Stub Hub is not allowing Red Zone tickets to be sold through them.

If the reseller is on the level, you should be OK--but, as mentioned above, the reseller has to actually show up at the venue themselves and meet you there.  Basically, same thing as if a friend (i.e., not you) bought them.

I just had an online chat with TM, and apparently once all concert tickets are sold and limits verified, there is an option to transfer tickets, (for GA at least). Apparently there are holds on everyone's account until the tickets are verified (this is to ensure no-one overuses their code/s), and then the option to transfer will be apparent. I'm a little confused now though, as I bought two tickets under my red hill code, and two under my husbands newbie code, but all are showing under my TM account. I wonder if they will view this as me having my limit, or look at it as two separate codes and still see we have another 4 available, 2 additional under each code...? Hmmm. U2 Pre sales are always stressful!

Wow, that would be really handy (i.e., being able to transfer tickets).  Regarding your question, your TM account and your u2 accounts/presale codes are two different things.  Whomever's code you used, if you buy tickets on your TM account, then (not surprisingly) all such tickets show up on your TM account.  It sounds like (using your TM account) you bought 2 using your code, and 2 with your husband's code.  So...you each should have two tix still available for each code (although presales are basically over now anyway), even though the tickets all show up under your TM account.  And no, you're not at your limit (regarding use of your presale code).

Thank you for that. My worry was really just that they would think it dodgy that I used two different codes, and maybe cancel the ones where the code was my husbands... Kind of a big deal when paying for return flights from NZ to be there! Hopefully, as you point out, they will only be concerned with the actual number of tickets purchased, and not the pre sale codes used. Given the limit is four pre sale tickets per person, I should be ok in that regard.

As I'm in New Zealand I'm hoping that they'll come to Australasia in 2018, and wondered if I'd have to use my husbands TM account for the additional tickets (to be under my 4 presale limit), but I guess if they did come here it would be under a new pre sale code anyway, given it wouldn't be The Joshua tree tour any more, but back to the new album tour.

So I guess the verdict is so long as TM aren't auditing actual codes, and only ticket numbers I should be fine. Phew!

Oh - that's funny. I'm so glad I'm not the only crazy fan in New Zealand, lol! Are you doing GA line up or were you lucky enough to get RZ?

I wanted RZ but ended up with GA so I'll queue. I don't mind so much, went to a couple of New York shows in 2015 and met some great people in line
