Subscriber zooclemson Posted November 15, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted November 15, 2017 I know nothing's official until it's official, but has there be any rumblings or indicators as to whether they filmed one for DVD release?
Subscriber ingenpat Posted November 18, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted November 18, 2017 Also wondering! Would love to relive it!!
Subscriber toyoracer Posted November 18, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted November 18, 2017 I thought they did film in Brazil or Mexico.
Subscriber CorkVegan Posted November 19, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted November 19, 2017 I would guess one of the South America concerts will be released. If you look at the setlists for that final leg you will see that they are the same night after night. To me this means that the band were doing live rehearsals and getting the set right for DVD. Subscriber Anam Posted November 19, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted November 19, 2017 This will be a down-time release I'd say with all that's coming over the new 12 months. Might be a few years before we get to see it, like Slane.

Subscriber vertigojds Posted December 7, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) Anton Corbijn apparently filmed all of the South American shows. It's uncertain at this time if it's going to be one concert as the basis of the release with small pieces from additional shows used to enhance the primary concert, or if the entire release will be assembled from various dates. But I wouldn't expect to see it until next Christmas season. I don't think they'll want to put it out at the same time they're promoting Songs Of Experience or touring Experience & Innocence. Subscriber Tflyer90 Posted December 8, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted December 8, 2017 I figured it was just a given that there would be a dvd release. It will be a huge waste if there isn't and it definitely seemed like they were filming every night (at least some parts of the shows). Because of the videos that kept going up on the social media outlets.
Subscriber richie459 Posted December 10, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted December 10, 2017 Will be released next Christmas season as someone said earlier. Any release and promotion will keep interest generated for further tour dates likely going into early 2019. I attended and as good as the show was I do remember thinking it wouldn't make a great DVD production - The giant screen etc. was great being there but not sure it would be as entertaining to watch as the Innocence or 360 DVD release. Band were on great form musically but it did feel quite static compared to previous tours.
Subscriber MacCready Posted January 18, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted January 18, 2018 I hope if/when it comes out, that the 8K videos are special features of their own. It would be nice if extra tracks were songs that didn't make it on most setlists. A Sort of Homecoming, the Sweetest Thing, MLK, and Don't Look Back in Anger (though, they probably wouldn't go through with getting the rights).
