Yet another rip-off!

I'm a huge fan and i've seen U2 every European tour since 1987 but unless they get the ticket situation sorted i won't be back.
As an 'innocence' subscriber I was given a chance of presale tickets this morning so i took a day off work and guess what? - absolutely no chance of standing tickets anywhere in Europe - UNLESS I GO ONTO VIAGOGO OR SIMILAR WEBSITES - AT DOUBLE THE PRICE OF COURSE.
After last year's fiasco i thought this was meant to have been fixed. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BAND THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR FANS...
Ticketmaster Spain had the right idea last year when anyone buying tickets had to supply their name, this went on the tickets and if the name on the ticket did not match one of the concert-goers the tickets were then deemed invalid. this prevented third-party sites selling them on at over-inflated prices.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH U2!!!!

Agreed. Been to every tour since Elevation. Always secured tickets via the presale. I had no hope of GA today that's a fact. Touts aren't put out having to pay $50 for a presale code on tickets they can make hundreds on. It's so easy to stop touts......name on tickets on entry only and they stay away.

Hi,

Wanted to let fellow fans, trying for GA's, know to persevere with it all.

At 10:00 GA tickets were showing as not available.

After twenty minutes of continually closing the black "no tickets available" window that pops up (NOT reloading the whole page) and retrying GA selection, tickets suddenly popped up.

As per JT tour they may be releasing GA's in bunches throughout the day.

I hope everyone gets the tickets they're after..

Since there's no shows for Scotland again this tour I decided to try for Paris.

Logged on at 10am and sure enough, timer on website just kept going round and round (had 4 separate pages open across 2 PC's) and it was like this for nearly 50 minutes.

Sometimes when I tried to open a new page I was getting the message that the code wasn't valid either!

Anyway, at about 10.50 I opened a new page and got straight through and with the option of tickets for anywhere in the venue and got 2 for GA!

So, keep trying!

I had similar experience during IE tour for Berlin general sale. Tickets were sold out within a few minutes. But checking back over and over again I managed to get what I needed 1 hour later.
