ticketmaster 'platinum'

Something about ticketmaster 'platinum' stinks to be honest. I've just waited in the queue for Paris tickets (public on-sale this morning) only to be informed after an hour that there are no more seat available for either 8 or 9 September. However, there are plentiful 'platinum' seats available in all parts of hte arena, at vastly higher prices. So I guess Ticketmaster witholds a lot of tickets to sell at similar prices as touts. Platinum tickets offer no advantage over regular tickets.

So in effect ticketmaster are no better than the touts that they and other ticketsellers regularly complain about. However, I thought that U2 were better than that. Very disappointed.

I managed to get 2 GA tickets in the presale for Amsterdam but was looking forward to bringing my son to Paris to see U2 for the first time.

Agreed, these Platinum Tickets are legalized scalping, Ticketmaster do this all over the world now under the pretense of pricing scalpers out of the market but isn't the promoter already doing this by selling "Hot Seats" at a massive premium ?

It becomes ridiculous when EUR 216,00 doesn't buy you the best seat in the house, for that you apparently have to hand over EUR 331,50 (Hot Seat) or up to EUR 430,00 (Platinum)
