Subscriber dmway Posted October 11, 2022 Author Subscriber Share Posted October 11, 2022 I got to see Yes celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of their best albums (Close To The Edge) last Friday. I was at the North American tour-opening show at the Keswick Theatre in suburban Philadelphia. Despite the show’s being the first one, they were in great form. It also is a memorial tour for Alan White, their classic drummer, who died a couple of months ago - this, of course, made the occasion more poignant. Their video display and light show were as excellent as they always are - here is a quick shot of one of the tributes to Alan:

Subscriber dmway Posted October 11, 2022 Author Subscriber Share Posted October 11, 2022 Now, my next show is a sequel to one of my favorite tours from 2019: Nick Mason’s “Saucerful of Secrets” tour, a tour which highlighted the music of Pink Floyd before “Dark Side of the Moon”. This 2022 tour is more specifically titled “The Echoes Tour” because, unlike the last tour, they will be performing their over 20-minute song, “Echoes”, during it! 😎 I am looking forward to this - it is one of their very best songs. Subscriber Manohlive Posted October 20, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted October 20, 2022 As of now, it's Dawes on March 10 at The Thalia Theatre in Chicago. Friends who will be at that show tell me it's a great venue. I know a couple dozen people who will be in the GA line. We are all very excited. The first part of the tour is announced. Tickets are around $40-50 and it's An Evening With Dawes, which means two full sets. Go see these guys. They are as good as it gets. Rumor has it they are playing the full new album, The Misadventures of Doomscroller for this tour. It's getting rave reviews. Excepting U2, you will not see a better band; perhaps as good but not better.
