Subscriber Nawlins 12 Posted June 19, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted June 19, 2018 such a badass show. possibly not as good as Montreal (had GA for Montreal and nosebleed for DC) but also missed out on some of the "This is not America, this is America" references in Montreal that they did in DC. Love that Bono mentioned Session's abuse of bible quotes. next stop Boston!

It had MacPhisto written all over it...

Subscriber unforgettableu2 49 Posted June 21, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted June 21, 2018 hey....everyone!!!!! I was at the DC show on Monday..... GA....around the E stage.....loved many aspects of the show, it felt like a intimate, coffee house, open mic poetry hour for those few songs centered around that little, circular stage. I've always seen U2 main stage/GA, front row. This was a very different experience for me on so many levels. I am only 5 ft. in height, so it limits my perspective vs. people whom are taller and can digest the visual experience. Standing at the E stage I believe I had the best aspects of the show, but I can't be completely certain because I wasn't able to consume all the visual elements as someone whom is taller or in another section.... please tell me your perspective about E & I stage layout and overall interpretation of this particular tour..... I've been a fan for 35 years....my first concert was unforgettable Fire.....this was a U2 concert, with many first experiences..... I felt like a newborn......not a seasoned fan...... It felt new, exciting and interesting(amazing at this age/stage of the band)....yet, very uncertain and displaced. I felt a dark current of sadness.....enveloping me and swirling in the darkness of the night. The music swallowed up my heart....almost strangulating my air supply.....and I felt a heavy, impending doom at the end of the show.....in which I always feel enlightenment, joy and optimism at most of all my U2 concert experiences. Tell me your personal experiences.....for I really would like to know...
