R.I.P., Eddie... ...and MTV Classic has been honoring him all day yesterday and is continuing to do so today by playing nothing but VH videos. A very nice tribute. 🎸
Subscriber padawanbeck84 Posted October 7, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted October 7, 2020 Now Bill and Ted will never get Eddie Van Halen on guitar (Is it bad that that scene from Excellent Adventure is one of the first things I associate with him?) I was up late last night watching Rafa Nadal's French Open match and the commentator broke the news during the match. Which was a bit weird and I couldn't believe it then. Still struggling to compute it now. He inspired so many people to pick up a guitar and learn to play. If cancer was a visible, physical being, I'd want to punch it in the face right now. And not just over EVH. We lost a member of our family to cancer over the weekend too. Our cousin Paul had already beaten pancreatic cancer once and lived a lot longer than doctors expected, but the cancer returned a few months ago. Rest in Peace to both of them.

I know she is helping us from beyond to make sure we have a new president in January 2021. Thank you, mom, for everything you did for me and all of our family while you were here. Amen, and if your mom is a fan of Rush and Van Halen, hopefully Neil and Eddie are entertaining her. 😊

Subscriber dmway Posted October 24, 2020 Author Subscriber Share Posted October 24, 2020 R.I.P, atu2.com This was one of the best (and, in many U2 fans’ opinions, the best) fan-run U2 site. Back in the early days of the Internet, this was one of a handful of “go-to” sites for band info. A sad day... https://www.atu2.com/news/goodbye.html 2

Subscriber padawanbeck84 Posted October 31, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted October 31, 2020 Aww, this one hurts a lot We've lost an iconic actor, Sir Sean Connery. He was 90. Possibly the best Bond there's ever been and so many other iconic roles. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54761824 It probably won't mean much to those of you outside the UK, but it was also announced yesterday that Nobby Stiles has died, aged 78. He helped England to win the World Cup in 1966 and was also very successful at club level with Manchester United. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36963874
