Yes, your screencaps comparison shows that not all upgrades improve things - sometimes there is too much clarity. 😄

If these upgrades get a physical release (and even if they remain only by streaming), they really need to hire a good digital colorist to fill out these visuals. They just shouldn't be left like this. Let's hope that they do.
