I have only managed it once (on “The Joshua Tree” tour in Syracuse, NY (one of the most successfully booted shows in U2 history) - my 2nd U2 show ever).

Of course, now, if I heard “40” at the end of a show, I’d be thinking, “Sh*t! This is it. This is their last tour/show ever!” 😄

I’m glad all of you had fun yesterday; it’s quite evident that you did! My CD hasn’t shown up yet (that’s why I wasn’t here); since I have found out that the download version of SOS is in WAV format, I will most probably get it soon.

I was sorry I wasn't home yesterday and couldn't join -- but I just now listened to snippets of each song and read through all the comments -- so great! I think I agreed with pretty much everything everyone posted!  I really, really love this album, and I wasn't really expecting to.  Thanks for hosting the listening party, Mich, even though I wasn't there live!

I am sorry I missed out on this listening party too, family commitments I am afraid. But it was great reading through all your comments, I absolutely love S.O.S. it feels so intimate, it doesn't take anything away from the original versions of these songs, they will always be there. This reworking adds another dimension and some versions could become my favourites over time. It was so good to feel all of your enthusiasm for this, even on a first listening. Makes a nice change from all the negative comments I have seen on social media in the past few weeks, although it is interesting to see that some people who were so verbally against this album have now started to change their minds now that it is actually out there.

Thanks mich40 for putting it together, maybe next time I can join in.

Hi everybody, last Saturday I was unable to attend (my 4 CDs arrived yesterday), but today I'm listening AND reading your comments, I have to say it's a fun experience all the same 🙂 

Thanks for sharing your emotions and opinions, so far (end of disc 2) I've enjoyed most of the songs (but don't ask me if the new chorus in The Miracle (of Joey Ramone) is a new favourite of mine... Because it's not! 🤣), It's as if they were new songs, ones I didn't know I needed but I did. I will forever love the originals, but with these it's like having Bono and Edge in my living room, singing what I need to hear. It's like with almost every new project of theirs, initially a lot of people are skeptical, then you listen and... it couldn't have been more right.
