Danny Elfman

Danny Elfman is a strange and fascinating character, and he has one of those amazing faces. I get made fun of quite a bit for saying so, but I'd much rather be made fun of than lie and say that he is not (or was not, more like) a very attractive individual. He isn't one of those stereotypically attractive men, of course, but he does have striking features. I only wished (at that point) more people realized it.

Eventually, I had gotten to a point where I had to draw him. I was so intrigued by his arching eyebrows, thin lips, and brilliant red hair that I could no longer resist. I found a photo that matched the kind of expression on my own face: deep in thought, full of wonderment and awe, and (in an odd way) a hint of satisfaction. In the end I was quite satisfied, indeed.
