  1. "Football is the most important of the least important things" - Jorge Valdano (allegedly) ๐Ÿ˜ catchy tune, indeed...

  4. It's been on repeat since last night. Uplifting, hopeful and so much joy. Everything we needed to hear and see. Absolutely love it.

  5. I like this as well. It's uplifting and hopeful. 'We are the people we've been waiting for.' Beautiful sentiment.

  6. I just listened to it - thatโ€™s a snappy little tune! I could see that being quite popular (esp., in the UK, ROI, and The Netherlands). By the way, since this song is now a news story on the front of U2.com, this story could be moved away from the rumors area, couldnโ€™t it?

  7. I completed 3 lessons of Latin today after not having done any for a month. I didn't have time in April due to taking part in a writing challenge. I'm now up to a nice round page 100 of the textbook

  9. Well, it's a nice thing to hope for, but the reality unfortunately is the opposite: the tickets are selling like hotcakes. The Philadelphia date was completely sold out in one day (Genesis is absolutely huge here; 70s progressive rock in general is, but especially Yes and Genesis); NYC already has a 2nd show, but both shows are virtually sold out already too. I got tickets I wanted for The Stones and The Who in the past that way too (i.e., days before/day of the show) - however, I very much resent having to shop for tickets that way as some kind of "new normal". You can luck out, but you

  10. Well, โ€œallโ€™s well that ends wellโ€, as the old expression goesโ€ฆ I was able to get a ticket for the added Genesis show in Philadelphia. ๐Ÿ‘ So, I will be able to say farewell to the band in person who is second only to U2 as most significant in my life. Still, a couple of niggles though. ๐Ÿ˜„ These are mobile-only tickets. They are using the explanation that itโ€™s for safety reasons (vis a vis, COVID); however, I sense thatโ€™s more rationalization than the whole truth. Ticketmaster (and others) need to realize that people still like physical tickets and that choice should always be an op

  14. Big fan of this. As others have mentioned it just feels like the song we need right now. Love it.

  15. Exactly... It's perfectly OK to wait until the date you are supposed to resubscribe - you may not get the gift "first" nor would be able to download tracks immediately (when there are tracks to download), but be sure those will be there when it's your turn...

  16. charleswise you are absolutely correct. If I wanted to right now I could renew again which would take my membership to 2023 and in doing so I would surely be entitled to the 2022 subscription gift otherwise what else would I be adding another year for.

  17. The Musical Box are great and are worth catching. You'll thank yourself for seeing them. ๐Ÿ‘ Seconded on your assessment of TM - that is how they think now. It's atrocious supply-side economics on steroids...

  18. My dog's coat badly needs to be pulled. I'm waiting for a nice day so I can do it outside with my Irish Terrier mentor. It's complicated and a lot of work. I did get it raked and brushed to where there were no mats. She looks a lot better. It's so long and she's so wild that she looks all scruffy again. Lol It was a good day, despite being in a winter jacket. Last Saturday, it was 88 degrees by me. (31 C) I don't know how to dress! ๐Ÿค”

  20. Congrats! (Yay) My mom gets her second vaccination in two days. My good thing: My dog is back after a weeks' absence. She is sleeping next to me after chasing me around my apartment for a rowdy brawl. I was very sick for a week after my second Moderna vaccine. I had sent her elsewhere so she would have fun. I had not seen her for eight days. I was very lonely. It feels great. Second Moderna vaccine: I got walloped again. It's not horrible. I did sleep for a week. Anyone who gets migraines: Save a few days of the 10 we get every month to take rescue meds. You'll proba

  21. I still have mine hidden with my other treasures. it's a favorite U2 material possession. I was gonna try and use it as a key chain. Lol It did not work. The dots on this 'floor shaking camera and cam footage being jumpy' just connected. You guys rocked so hard that you stopped the 360 cameras from getting a decent filming? That's very U2, at least for me.

  23. Youโ€™re speaking my language too! ๐Ÿ‘ My hope is that we will get our wish in 2021 - a combination tour for a new album and 30th anniversary of AB. How they choose to commemorate AB/ZooTV on such a tour I would leave to them (i.e., they wouldnโ€™t have to necessarily play the whole album in order like they have done with the JT anniversary tours - if all the songs were mixed into the show, that would satisfy me). I wouldnโ€™t expect a full-blown ZooTV re-enactment either - Bono, The Edge, Adam, and Larry are 30 years older now (Bono in particular has had a whole bunch of health challenges

  40. Finally! ๐Ÿ˜Ž A show I can listen to more comfortably - I do have to do my best impression of a "morning person" though! ๐Ÿ˜„ @Max Tsukino, when you list the time above, that's when the scheduled start is for the opening act, not U2 themselves - is that right?
