  1. Since there is so much interest in Mr MacPhisto at the moment, I thought you might like to check out my dedicated MacPhisto fansite if you haven't been there recently or ever. Among other things I've added a brand new transcripts page for the EI Tour, which will obviously be expanded as the tour goes on. (It will take me a little while longer to bring this page up to date with the latest developments. This whole thing has come as a massive surprise - even though I argued that it was the perfect time to bring MacPhisto back, I never thought they would actually do it!!)

  3. My vote to EI 2018 ... i didnt have holidays and money for JTtour2017 (was the first Tour since JT1987 without me ... and i know its a shame cos JT is a Classic) ... IE Was Incredible too 4 U2shows in Paris and a terrorist attack ... Fav Tours : 5 x 360 ... 2 Elevation ... POPMart 97 !! JT 87 ... Lovetown tour 89 .... Zooropa93 ....

    There's a certain rush that comes to me when I see U2. I got it the first time I saw them, on the Innocence & Experience tour at this exact London venue three years ago. Back then I thought it was just the mad excitement of finally getting to see my favourite band live for the first time, but I still get it now every time I see them. Tonight is no exception. Opening a rock show with footage of war-torn cities post WWII and Chaplin's famous Great Dictator speech is a bold move, one that demonstrates a band in their latter years still looking to surprise and shock their audience.
