The face mask looks like it is from Simple Minds????

Not a Simple Minds exclusive motif (but it's true that it's something they have used for many years)... the image is an illustration of a Claddagh ring, which is - per wikipedia - is a traditional Irish ring which represents love, loyalty, and friendship. More info about the Claddagh ring.

This one on the face mask, btw, was drawn by Bono...

They have used the illustration a couple of times this years on their social media posts. As Max said, drawn by Bono.

Has this video been remastered?  Date uploaded mentions Oct 2009.

Some of them, they are replacing on the old one and they will show the original add date and viewer count. Be sure to check your settings on YouTube to make sure you are watching at the highest quality.

Were these remix versions ever played on MTV (or other places)?  I remember the mixes but not the videos.

Max and I were discussing that. He remembers one and I remember the one with the shopping cart. I can’t remember where I saw it though, but definitely not on MTV.

If it is shipped then why do we not have all the downloads now? Come on - its not too much to ask is it?

There’s the sensible way to do things and then there’s the u2.com way.

One may not be happy or understand why they do things the way they do, but they always have a reason and they will continue to distribute the downloads as they see fit.

Yes, I know, but extracts is just a small part of the program. Why do North American fans get more original content of the band members?

Unfortunately, North America is where SiriusXM has their business located. It has nothing to do with the band. In fact, I am sure there are fans around the world of other bands that feel the same about their band having a specific channel on their service. You may want to consider contacting Sirius and ask them to extend their services worldwide.

It's been more than a year now and I would like to bring up this topic again. Would be great if the content of U2xRadio could be listened to in all parts of the world. I somehow feel like I miss a lot of news on my favourite band.

Every couple of months they have been adding an Extracts show here on the website to cover the highlights. They are currently on Episode 5 and it can be here: https://www.u2.com/news/title/episode-5---u2-x-radios-xtracts/

The previous ones can also be found in the the news section of the main site.

  7. @Madfl3asums it up well here. Giving the album my first listen right now and it’s brilliant. Even if I didn’t know who his father is, this would have caught my attention. Good stuff.

Saw them live in Cardiff just pre covid. They were very very good. Interesting mix in the crowd of old U2 fans and teens and twentysomethings.

You can see Bono in Eli.

will buy the album as I love the tracks I have heard so far

Taking my daughter and her friend to see them next year in Atlanta. From the live videos that I’ve seen, I’m sure it’s going to be a fun show.
