  1. Bono has today undergone emergency back surgery for an injury sustainedduring tour preparation training. He was admitted to a specialist neurosurgery unit in a Munich hospital, and is under the care of neurosurgeon Prof. Dr. Jorg Tonn and Dr Muller Wohlfahrt. Bono will spendthe next few days there, before returning home to recuperate.

Once his condition has been assessed further, a statement will be made regarding the impact on forthcoming tour dates.

Seems like a lot of the model chicks jumped on the band wagon around Z00tv time.  Helena, Naomi, Christy Turlington

mich40']The pollen is horrible here today. Everything is covered in yellow and yesterday there were pollen clouds in the air. Today I am staying inside, doing time on the exercise bike while watching the Boston Elevation DVD.

What are you guys doing today?

OMG! I just couldnt move today after working out at the club for 3 days in a row...even though I went slowly and didnt push too hard...but today my body did not want to move I was as stiff as plywood!!

even caffeine and advil did nothing...

so glad you have a bike indoor and are motivated to use it..perhaps the dvd helps? tell me are you blasting it on the stereo speakers or wearing headphones?

u2 would make anyone want to get up and dance! Makes you move a bit faster. wink.gif

Are you watching them on a big screen? Yes. We have a big screen with BIG sound downstairs, so that helps keep up the energy too.  A concert in prep for my summer concerts is how I look at it.

do you have air conditioning? Yes, we do and the last couple of days I have been thankful for it b/c of the pollen and the heat.  It's been mid 80s here (that's 30 in Celsius talk).

what is your fav exercise to do on the ball? I really just like doing my sit ups on it.  I have a weak back because I hurt it years ago and it makes the sit ups easier and my back stronger.

I'm dumbfounded that Breathe is not included! Larry walking out alone and pounding away before the rest of them come out was great.

I agree, what an opener !

I agree its this part that gives us Goosebumps!.........
    ohwell.gif

still get those crazy goosebums when I think about being in the Arena in Amsterdam ... first the countdown ... Larry getting on stage, all by himself, starting to play ... all of us knowing the rest of them were about to arrive ... magnificent !

I am so counting down to the next concerts !
I have so many clips of breathe at the start in so many shows on youtube - how can they not show the start of a show - the build up, the band coming onto the stage and then Bono just bouncing to that microphone - not fair!!

And I know others have said it but amazon and play have dvd deluxe boxset for £150 (or discount at amazon) and $40 on here? So odd!

for me it was ..Bowie and Space Oddity,...3-4 mins..heart pounding,,,smoke.....getting to the end of it......then Kingdom..cheers....Larry..Larry pounding....heart almost stopping..then Bono as you say Zhivvy..BOUNCING to that Mic!!!!!!!........

Could not have said it better, myself.happy.gif

I'm also into running, and am actually training with a coaching site on the internet, and hopefully in 4 weeks I can run one hour 2 to 3 times a week! I love it :-)))

Not so much on the running part....  If I can get over this stupid cold I have, I'm going to start my biking again.  It is long overdue.

what kind of bike do you have?

Oh well, it's the kind that I can sit on in front of the tv and watch U2 concerts while "biking".  I do want to get a real bike.  Need to get my daughter off of training wheels first though, so we can all bike together.  Unfortunately, where we live isn't very conducive to bike riding with children.  In the South, or at least Alabama, we have 2 things going against us- fried food and no sidewalks for physical activity.

Why leave Breathe out just because Bono stuffed up the second line of the song, that's what "live" is about, not glossing over mistakes.

There's plenty of instances where one of the band stuffs up.

I have a dvd of the Giants Stadium show I went to on 360 and Bono started Stay about a third of the way through and then had to wait about a minute and a half for edge to make his way back to the start of the song again. It doesn't detract from the show one bit, it shows he is human. Sort of like watching a professional golf player fluff a shot.

I was at that show and even live it was just kinda funny!

Yeah, he's just kinda rolling his finger and says "back to the top" trying to get edge to get back to the start. It was the best of the 3 shows I saw, crowd was great.

And I really don't mind if Breathe starts "16th June, nine o five blah bejesus, de dada, three things.

Are you going to any of the next leg Mick, or has that baby cost too much in time and resources?

I was there too and I loved that part because it made the song longer!

My wife's favourite also, so she thinks it was a good thing too.
When he first started, it was like "oops"

Then when he went to start again it was like "Oh God!!!!"

On the third attempt when he finally got it, it was just hillarious!

I also loved the complete and utter stuff up that was Party Girl at the last Sydney show

    Bono " Oh dear....."

    Oh dear indeed!

ahh..the memories!!!!!!!.One of the Best U2 concerts ive evr been too!...........

that is cool and shows they are human after all!

That is great.  That totally keeps it real.
