"the biggest little cult band in the world" Larry

HELLO HELLO welcome to my Zoo Station stop. My name is Anj and as many of you know,

I am a quiet, shy zootop who makes very little noise and is as angelic as can be!

mullet memories

U2 have been a happy part of my life since the early 80's. It was a slow burn then I was hooked with New Years Day and Edge's geetar on I Will Follow blew me away, he still does that to me! And then I saw young Larry looking shy and awkward behind the drums, thud, a lifelong crush began lol!! They played a pub a couple of miles from where I lived circa 1980, I was too young to go, my brother's friends were going and I begged him to go and report back, he didn't, I never forgave him! Imagine seeing them in their very early days, what a miss. But I still followed.

regrets, I've had a few

I was a student living in London in the 90's, had tickets for the zoo tv tour but I also had exams, I chose revision, doh! I've never understood that decision and have always regretted it! Muppet! The band was only one tube stop away, so far away, so close! Soon after I had a bad injury and before I knew it 16 years went by before I could manage to see my guys on tour.

a sort of homecoming

London Wembley weekend 2009, happiest weekend of my life. By sheer fluke I was in a hotel room next door to Edge for 3 days!! Briefly met him and Bono. WI(RED). Show was fantastic and out of a 90,000 crowd I sat next to someone from my hometown, we'd gone to the same school! I remember walking into that stadium among all those fans and feeling like I'd come home, I'd never felt like that before. That weekend changed me and it was the only time in years I felt no pain, endorphin elevation, a miracle drug! Amazing, surreal, unforgettable, inspiring, even better than the real thing! My outlook changed. Good things can happen!

an unquenchable thirst

On the wishlist before I'm 50 is to see U2 in Zoo York and Dublin and maybe some sightseeing with the band!! Hope to meet some of you there (tho some of you I'll be avoiding lol)!

Anyway, enough about me. BOOM CHA for now!
