  1. This is very shocking and sad and the gigs won't be going ahead as I've just watched the interview with Bono on Soundcloud.com it has been posted on here. The band are very saddened and shocked like all of us,everyone is safe in the U2 camp which is good and I pray that any U2 fans there for the gigs are safe. It's so sad for fans at The Eagles of Death Metal gig :-( My thoughts and prayers go out to all the friends and families of all the victims. Bono says this cannot turn us all into haters and he is right but sometimes I sit and think will it ever end all this bloodshed :-( Bono says it wasn't them that cancelled the gigs personally but understanbly the French Authorities have shut down the borders, safety of people comes first and Bono said he knows that U2 fans will understand and he is right I think we all do.<3 my heart goes out to Paris
  2. We in same boat mate, we live in Co Durham and my Son is going to Glasgow,I got him the ticket for him on here as I'm a member and my husband paid for it it was for his 21St birthday cos I cannot go because of a disability and it's his 1St gig and he has always wanted to see U2.Ive been in discussions with Bigwave and bless him he as been trying to help but got an email today from Glasgow SSE hydro saying same thing the Photo ID and name on Credit card have to match but they won't because my hubby paid on his card God it's been a nightmare. My husband is taking him and we just hoping they will let him in because my husband will be there with all the necessary stuff, then I've heard that they are more concerned with scanning the credit card and getting them in. So we just hope all be ok and That's all you can do is go and hope for the best with your dads credit card of course good luck!!! Am sure all will be fine, most places all has been needed is the original credit card, (some id checks, but very few from what I have heard) and if your fella is with him, then there will be no issue. Cheers Bigwave for all that you have done, they have just set off to go to the show and if all is well and he gets in them I will post it on here to reassure everyone cheers all the best Christine x Just heard from my Son & Husband that my Son got in ok but only because my husband was with him as it was his credit card we payed the ticket as it was for my Sons 21St Birthday. They did ask for My husband ID as it was his credit card and email confirmation so they did ask for all 3 at Glasgow Hydro tonight. So just wanted to let people know that you have to have the person who's credit card payed for the ticket,I'm so glad he is in as it's my Sons 1St U2 gig and he has been so excited. I do still think this system is not a great one because ticketmaster didn't tell us about this until after the ticket was bought and its so frantic trying to get tickets in 1St place,so I know from this thread that many people were in same boat as us and means if their ticket was bought with someone else's credit card that person has to be at venue to show their ID,email confirmation and credit card of course to swipe. I sincerely hope fans were not turned away because of this which might of happened. Bigwave helped where he could thanks again Bigwave but U2 need to learn from this situation because in trying to stop scalpels genuine fans are getting the flack for it and that's not really fair. And how come it was only paperless for standing?? Hope others got into the gig ok!!!

  5. Well the gig my Son is going to at Glasgow SSE Hydro and I've not heard no more from Bigwave about what to do. My husband is taking him there and he will have ticket confirmation, his credit card we bought ticket with for our Sons 21St Birthday and he will have his passport and my Son will have his driving licence, if he gets denied entry I won't be at all happy and I know I'm not only one this is happening to. My husband got an email today from Glasgow SSE hydro telling us details Still saying... He needs ticket confirmation Credit card that payed for ticket And his ID card He will have all these but it's still saying the name on credit card should match his ID card which it won't as we paid for it using my Husband card. I'm.going be pretty stressed until he gets into a U2 gig he has waited a long time for and it's his 1St one!!!
  6. BIGWAVE put a message up earlier that he has discussed this at length with U2.com and he used mine and others on here as.examples of what we are going through with ticketmaster and he messaged me to.say that this is going to the highest level and hopefully it can be sorted, the tour now had started so let's see what happens. I sent all my correspondence from ticketmaster about this carry on that the cardholder has to be present on the night for those who.like me who got a ticket for member of their family in my case my Son for his 21st birthday as I cannot go as the gigs are too far for me I'm UK as I have a disability hopefully it won't be a problem. I want to say a big thank you to Bigwave for taking the time to help us all on here and I hope we all have no problems at the time of our gigs. CHEERS BIGWAVE XXXXX
  7. Hi U2, I'm a very long time fan and I missed out on 360 tour as that's when I began to be ill I still have the unused ticket :-( I now have a chronic disability and London or Glasgow is too far for me, I could maybe make Manchester or Birmingham so please could you maybe think of adding any of these locations for the European tour. I'm watching footage on YouTube of your American shows and all I can do is wish I could be there. You are doing 6 nights in London surely a couple more at Manchester and Birmingham would hurt still wishing Christy xx
  8. That's ridiculous, come on U2 you know that is not right and all these stupid Ticketmaster rules regarding ticket touts then oh 'get me in' is a ticket tout the very worse kind this needs to be sorted!!!!
  9. R.I.P Dennis,my thoughts go out to his family and his U2 family
  10. I know you can can not please everyone and I have accepted I cannot go but I do agree with the fan who started this thread that London is not all of England and now I hear they have added another night in London now a total of 5 nights !!!! I understand they want to feel what its like playing a few nights in same place, but U2 have always toured more of the UK normally and 5 nights in London, only 2 at Glasgow but none in the middle ????? Plus the cost of travel & accommodation makes it a lot more expensive for people even more so when you cannot work !!
  11. Awwwww thank you so much bigwave i will get all the details together and PM you plus I hope it can be sorted for everyone else on this thread not just me but I am very greatful mate cheers X
  12. It is flopro & mike7man, I have never known this carry on ever !!!!!! My Son went to see Nine Inch Nails and that was credit card entry, he took my husband as he paid for the ticket as my Son has not got a credit card and they scanned it and he got in no bother and enjoyed the gig without all this hassle :\
  13. ah, ok got it now... how old is he?He is 21 bigwave the ticket was his present from us, if my husband goes up with him with his credit card, passport and confirmation then I don't see why he still won't be admitted just because my husband is not going to the gig.He is just taking him and while he is at gig my husband is going to go see a movie.Would it help if I sent you the email Ticketmaster sent my husband a week after he bought the ticket.
  14. I totally agree Wezza, I am so annoyed as my Son keeps asking me have I managed to sort it out and I have to say no Son not really and all he wants to do is see one of his favourite band because his Mam wants to go but cannot possibly travel to London or Glasgow, I have just heard there has been another show added in London so 5 nights they will play there, U2 I love you all but not everyone can make one end of country to top and no gigs in middle, 1st time in my life I have been very disappointed with U2
