  1. Hi Max, looking forward to gig.. One slight correction... Belfast isn't in GB. - GB = England, Scotland and Wales. UK is GB and NI.
  2. Murf, depends what you want to do.. City Centre is a 5-10 minute walk to SSE. McHugh's is probably the last pub you get to before heading over the river to SSE (assuming you are staying in the City Centre). Its ok, and likely will be busy. However there are other great pubs in town, The Duke of York, The Harp Bar, The Garrick, Muriels and Kelly's Cellars all worth a visit, City Centre is a bit messed up at the minute due to fire in store right in the centre of town, which has effected traffic flow. You will have a great time.. Want any more info drop me an IM
  3. So you aren't going to go to gig because the Band "may" have a different view to you ? What's wrong with EU flag?
  4. Complete Rubbish.. Of course they do, they have the ultimate sign off. The key thing on this tour I would suggest is taking the margin that the Scalpers were getting for I+E and taking it back into U2 Inc, TM and LN. Effectively pricing some tickets at "market rate". However it looks like it has backfired in US, and there seems to be tickets drops coming up very regularly. Europe seems to be more fairly priced, (after seeing US shambles) and tickets have sold much better.
  5. Wonder will this end up like the Ordinary Love thing they didn't actual follow through with for I+E tour...
  6. Looks as if you have great seats... You are likely side onto/slightly behind stage. http://www.mapaplan.com/seating-plan/belfast-sse-arena-odyssey-detailed-row-numbers-plan/high-resolution/sse-arena-odyssey-belfast-seating-plan-01-detailed-seat-row-number-end-stage-concert-floor-map-north-south-west-east-lower-upper-tier-layout-high-resolution.htm So close to stage albeit from an angle. Big screen well in view, a bit away from B stage (length of arena). Regarding sound, it is a rock and roll show, so it will be loud, however speakers are distributed throughout the arena, so not all coming stage area.
  7. Flybe flies from Harbour airport - close to city centre. Flight aren't out yet.
  8. Folks, bought a couple of tickets in Presale yesterday with credit card, however as gig is 9 months away, my card will have expired by then? I assume that card will still work to access tickets? Anyone know how this worked in the past? As I'm sure Im not the only one in this situation.
  9. Agree with all that has been said in this thread. Having seen them in both Belfast and Dublin over the last 30 years, Belfast U2 gigs really knock it out of the park. SSE is a tight arena, 10 minutes walk from town. Belfast is way cheaper than Dublin for hotels. The people and bars are great... And the Guinness is as good as Dublin!
  10. So gigs for Ireland will have paperless GA tickets. Great news for the fans, not so good for secondary sellers...
  11. It has been possible in the past, although I think for this tour they have been issuing links via e mail to access ticket seller web site.
  12. Yes, however would imagine there are a number of factors in play here. Extra London dates, and Irish dates (as yet to be announced)
  13. Mine definitely wasn't.. Bought my ticket out there day before gig.- my name wasn't on it
  14. Was at Spanish gig last year... They weren't checking the names on tickets..
  15. Relax - O2 customers access is 24th January https://priority.o2.co.uk/tickets/5a5cea47590801003d0d32f1/u2
  16. Would suggest that those dates are being looked at for Irish gigs. Although perhaps that is why Dublin and Belfast aren't announced as yet. They might be looking at putting Scotland in ahead of Ireland.
  17. Looks like there isn't a venue free to fit in with tour schedule
  18. Probably part of sponsorship deal.. although I heard on I+E tour, arena sponsors were not allowed this benefit. - might be sign of times...
