Anakin, I feel the same as you. June 28 & 29 shows have now been added and it will be the same disgusting thing all over again. I just knew more shows would be added and maybe if they had listed all 4 shows from the start people would have had a better chance of getting something. The TM+ is disgusting, so is Stub hub. Craigslist and ebay are just modern day versions of people putting an add in the paper in dinosaur days.

I hadn't used TM since last U2 tour so I was thoroughly disgusted when I saw the resale tickets within 15 minutes of tickets going on sale. Scalping is now called 'resale' and laws vary from state to state, and that's how they have gotten around the scalping issue, it's called resale. The laws have been crafted carefully to allow scalping (resale) with certain requirements having to be met. I won't play the game anymore. 40 years of concert going and dealing with mega corporation ticket sellers like TM, Live Nation, etc. and the whole ticket brokering business is enough. It's been rigged since the beginning of it all back in the 60s. If you do happen to get tickets for big acts, you got lucky. The insane ticket prices is also disgusting. Just keep giving your hard earned cash to mega rich artists. I've had my fun for decades and never paid an outrageous price for a ticket.

Right now there are Chicago GA seats for $1529.00!! Since when does Ticketbastid allow scalping on their website. In 40 years of concert going I guess it's now legal to actually scalp tickets on so called official ticket sites. I've been at this too long to put up with this crud. We need our money a lot more then multi-millionaire rock stars.

All the problems were probably due to the ticket brokers getting the tickets first and U2 subscribers were second in line. Tickets are available from brokers all over the internet.

With a Golden Globe win and now an Oscar nomination adding to their touching tribute to the South African president whom they called a friend, the band does not regret the decision. The group had originally hoped to release its 13th studio album, which it had been working on the album in New York last year, with producer Danger Mouse by December 2013. Things seemed so clear that bassist Adam Clayton had even said it would contain 12 songs. But their schedule changed when movie producer Harvey Weinstein called the band on behalf of Mandela's producers. "When we got the call from Harvey to say, 'It's happening, are you in?,' it was like, 'Oh man, really? Now?'" guitarist the Edge said. "But we just had to do it, with the history that we have with the man and the cause." "This was the one project you just couldn't say no to," bassist Adam Clayton said. "For our generation, South Africa was a real illustration of how music could affect change in the world, and it was a rite of passage in terms of our political awareness." Bono said that he rewrote the song's original lyrics after reading love letters Mandela had written to his wife Winnie. "Maybe the reason they asked us was to do a kind of 'Pride (In the Name of Love)' moment, but it just did not seem correct," Bono said. "The only place in his life he felt that he was the loser in the conflict, that his enemies had prevailed, was in his marriage. He just couldn't make that work, and the most important part of that film is the love story." Following the release of "Ordinary Love," the group interrupted its recording schedule to help promote the film, attend awards-related events and to mourn Mandela after his death. In addition to the Golden Globes appearance, the group accepted the Sonny Bono Visionary Award for the song at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and have agreed to give the song its live debut at the Oscars next month. Despite these interruptions, the band finished up the song "Invisible" and released it during the Super Bowl. The band is still working on the new, as-yet-untitled album, which Bono has jokingly referred to as Insecurity. "The album won't be ready 'til it's ready. . . . There's a couple of songs that are part of the story we haven't quite finished," Bono said. "We know we have to spend a couple of years taking these songs around the world, so they'd better be good."

iTunes doesn't work on my computer for some dumb reason, so I'll have to wait to grab from somewhere else when it shows up. From the short clip I've seen and heard, not too impressed, but have to hear the whole song. I can't stand drum machines and lots of synth, that was my concern with them using Danger Mouse, I would've much preferred Rick Rubin.

That is true Alma, U2 is in artistic control and power. Very few musicians have that and most will never have that kind of power due to how the music industry is today. As fans, it's really just about the music, do you like it or not. Most bands make their money now with touring so all that matters to fans are ticket prices. The business end of music shouldn't really matter to fans unless it impacts the music itself and ticket prices. With this it just looks so "Corporate" and about big money. I love that letter by NJ White also!

Actually, Paul isn't retiring, he's set up a sweet deal for himself. He'll still be chairman of Principle but sold it to LN for $30 Mill and won't be as hands on, that's a businessman. What would be good for the band at this point, and most long time fans don't seem to be quite happy about this, or at the least very nervous, would be for their next tour to be in smaller venues with decent prices. Bad publicity and moves like this have negative effects on artists, so as artists, they need to get back to basics and quit pandering to their corporate master by playing huge stadiums and over priced tickets with fans sitting practically on the next block at a show. Keep it simple and magnificent!

Whether ticket prices go up or not, no more shows for me. I'm sick of corporations dictating and running everything. Here in the U.S. we've been literally screwed over by corporations and wall street to the point of almost no return with lost jobs for more corporate profits, including my own family. I stll have principles and refuse to hand over any more money to large corporate monopolies and large multi-millionaires.

U2 are the new Rolling Stones, $$$$$$$$$, except U2 makes better music then the Stones at this point. Live Nation took over ticketbastid, that worked out well didn't it. Live Nation runs this site, that's worked out well too right, it's why I don't subscribe anymore. Subscription cost will probably go up along with concert ticket prices. Corporations rule nations and now artists. Sad that rock music originally was anti-establishment, rebellious, etc. and then slowly became establishment big business.
