  1. Wow! Talk about being screwed. For those kinds of prices the packaging should've been some kind of metal, even a flimsy tin at the least. Not packaging the correct format of the DVD's for different countries is also very shoddy practices.
  2. [quote name='illumination70 wrote: lori7']Happy New Year to all, and hope 2012 is even better than 2011. I'll drink to that!!! I'll also raise a glass (or 2) to that!
  3. Hope everyone's Christmas was a good one. On to the new year cause this one is ending badly right now.
  4. The article has the names of Eve and Jordan tagged wrong in the photos. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2078798/Bono-gets-generous-champagne-Boxing-Day-trip-races-wife-daughters.html
  5. I know a guy who worked for a company that moved a part of the company to Ireland because corporate rates, labor, etc. were cheaper then here in the U.S. After awhile the workers started demanding better wages, Irish folks are not stupid, and now it's costing the company more to operate in Ireland then if they'd kept here.
  6. Thanks for the refresher Max! I forgot about using the old embed code part. Merry Christmas!!!
  7. I can't seem to remember how to embed video's in a post here, use to be easy, so here's the link...lol

  9. Those are pretty ignorant statements by people. First of all it's our government, not the people, who chose to do all those things. I, and millions of others, did not approve of any invasions of countries. Millions of us didn't vote in the politicians who made those decisions. Bush wasn't elected, he was placed in the office of President by our stupid Supreme Court after his trying to rig the voting in Florida didn't go as he planned. Al Gore had won the popular vote, wow, how different our lives here would've been if Gore had been President. The second time Bush & Co. rigged the vot

  11. This Act, Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), is going through our Congress and has almost full bipartisan support. This Act is not just about piracy, this is control of the Internet by corporations. One Senator from Oregon is holding it up, thank God. This is no joke, story http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/16/sopa-internet-censorship-online-piracy-house-hearing_n_1098255.html To sign http://act.demandprogress.org/act/finish_strong/?referring_akid=.512088.dLhOa-&source=typ-tw This is dead serious!
  12. Hestia, I watched Tim's live video all through the night, nice article on his 16 hour marathon filming on MSNBC.com http://redtape.msnbc.msn....s-a-ustream-star-is-born Yes they're back, regrouping. Occupy Chicago has never been able to have encampment and they've been very effective targeting certain issues and places around the city. They did a fantastic protest disrupting WI Gov. Scott Walker speech in Chicago, it's awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KET6XK1E4CQ

  15. That Q magazine cover CD, I don't like most of the covers but Jack White's is pretty dang cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPJZujpMjCc&feature=related+ Gavin Friday's The Fly is good and I expected Patti Smith to start belting out UTEOTW but it never happened.
  16. LOL with the names of the cops. I would hate to see OWS dissolve into a cops vs OWS situation, but confrontation is what propels movements into the larger population and awareness. Berkley has always been the epicenter of student protests, going back to the 1930s. During the 60s it had the biggest demonstrations for the Civil Rights Movement, Viet Nam War protests and Freedom of Speech Movement. They actually became riots. The student sit-ins back then were very effective. It's the encampments authorities don't like, they want protests to just keep moving along.
  17. Totally agree about all the songs, except Billy Joel's, I hardly ever heard Scenes From An Italian Restaurant on the radio back in the day. http://scoop.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/11/08/8682446-stairway-to-heaven-turns-40-lets-retire-it-with-these-other-classics By Alex Smith, TODAY.com Forty years ago today, British rock juggernaut Led Zeppelin released their magnum opus, "Led Zeppelin IV." Rife with flourishes of haunting folk, gritty blues and rafter-shaking rock of the heaviest order, "IV" swiftly became the band's defining album, largely thanks to the epic 8 minutes an
  18. [quote name='jbarnych wrote: surrenders']I'd like to know why when all the teabaggers (Tea Party) morons held their demonstrations with a lot of them waving guns, rifles, etc. they were never arrested or harrassed. The Occupiers are hitting a big nerve with the 'establishment', and that's a very good thing. I admire every last one of them for keeping it up. They need to weed out anyone who may be infiltrating them and trying to create violence. That is a long known tactic of the so called 'authorities'. They'll even send in undercover cops to try and incite violence. Another Veteran was inju
