"If I weren't insane...I couldn't be so brilliant!" - The Joker
It is funny, I grew up a fan of Batman my whole childhood. As an adult, the Joker just makes much more sense to me. I am Robert, or as nobody calls me...The Rob. I am a native of Madison and then had the esteemed honor of attending school at Auburn University where I originally went too study aerospace engineering but came home with a degree in marketing instead. While at Auburn I attended classes in-between lake sessions as a member of the Auburn Waterski Team. After graduation in 2001, I got my "dream job" right out of school and started my career as the Marketing Director for Centurion Waterski & Wakeboard Boats. The problem with dream jobs is they are just that...a dream. Don't get me wrong, I loved working in the water sports industry as skiing has always been a huge part of my life but when your position is a dead end, you are working for nothing because it is a "dream job", and you find yourself wanting more in life...it is time to move on. Plus, to quote a very wise friend; "The worst thing you can do to your skiing is get involved in the waterski industry." - Scooter Rambo
I am proud of all that I accomplish at Centurion, the friends I made, and the knowledge I obtained. I learned more in my first 2 weeks than I did in 6 years of school. I left Centurion and VA Beach in 2006 and moved home to Madison. I know...the cold sucks but it is home. I took a job as the VP of Marketing for a construction company and met my future wife, Jaimie. After that life is awesome. I went back to school and got my MBA through Auburn, have had two wonderful children (Addison & Robby) and I wake up each day loving what I do. Is construction my passion? Nope, but marketing is, technology is, and ok....I love construction. Especially flying UAV's over construction sites. So, Marketing + Construction = Construction Marketing Genius (thats me). Oh, I am a pilot too.
