  1. It's Paul's birthday....and I remember his birthday every year...like all my beloved family members. Paul's birth has changed my world and the collective energy of the world. I think it is with divine intent and purpose that his birthday is the same day as Mother's Day and first born daughter, Jordan. Paul's Mother, Iris, gave birth to this child of enlightenment. Despite her death and Paul mourning her physical/emotional presence most of his life....her death gave Paul a second birth. In Paul mourning Iris...her death breathed new life in whom we know as Bono. Bono's birth gave a n
  2. zenpres.... My mind wanders into dark places at times. I have a deep study/interest in medical/health related issues...and I just can't seem to dismiss Bono's prior health problems and his mother's aneurysm/death. I'm so hoping to be wrong....for speculation on such a personal issue seems intrusive,..... It could be as simple as his beautiful voice needs a rest....he's human after all....and for a 58 year old man....he has incredible energy....but not invinsible I just pray God protects Bono....the world need U2's music and spiritual energy more than ever..... Their wo
  3. hey....everyone!!!!! I was at the DC show on Monday..... GA....around the E stage.....loved many aspects of the show, it felt like a intimate, coffee house, open mic poetry hour for those few songs centered around that little, circular stage. I've always seen U2 main stage/GA, front row. This was a very different experience for me on so many levels. I am only 5 ft. in height, so it limits my perspective vs. people whom are taller and can digest the visual experience. Standing at the E stage I believe I had the best aspects of the show, but I can't be completely certain because
  4. Hi Deirdre.... Yes!!! It is true.....as beautiful and sad it is to be a mother.....our ultimate goal with our children is to protect, develop/foster potential and instill autonomy. Very difficult and self-less is to be a effective mother....for children are on loan from God....not really ours. Separate beings.....separate lives.....that have their own unique journeys/purpose. We all carry apart of our mothers' inside us.... our mothers' strengths and weaknesses reflect inside us all. It's our job as individuals to take these experiences.....adopt the good ones....and not to perp
  5. Dmway... Thanks for your very personal mother's day story, as I am naughtily eating the gummy worms(like pop-corn), that my 8 year old son gave me for mothers day. Your story is optimistic....and yet rings of hollow sadness and yearnings. You will always have those U2 memories with your mother that will carry you through those days...when you miss her the most. My mother has b-cell leukemia, and is in remission....so I empathize with you, at least with mysterious aspects of the disease. No rhyme or reason whom it selects....my mother is a health nut....so it was not expec
  6. Enjoy the show....I'd do anything to see them there, instead of DC....but, I'm thankful to have GA tickets or able to see them at all. But, Chicago is where my heart is....I love Michigan, too! Wonderful, neighboring state! Mid western people are just down-to-earth and open!!! The most gracious U2 fans I've met were from the mid-west.
  7. U2rone.... I am so jealous you are going to see them in Chicago....that is where I was born. My favorite place to see U2 is in Chicago. I've seen u2 many times and many places...and Chicago is where they seem to have a special connection. I feel that connection....it's a real thing....the origins of their first American steps began on Chicago soil. I actually saw them coincidentally when it was Bono's birthday, too.....very special memories I behold for Chicago.
  8. Happy Birthday  to Bono

All life is precious....and has a impact both large and small...

But, God had specific plans for Bono....and he's delivered much joy in many people's lives.

      Right sommer 17????

How has Bono/u2's music personally impacted you, ......?

So, tell me sommer.....how has U2 specifically and personally effected you?

  9. How lucky the world has been to be graced by PAUL DAVID HEWSON for 58 years. Thank-you BOBBY and IRIS for creating such a dynamic, beautiful, sensitive and intense human being. Thank-you fellow U2 Band mates for shaping and molding your Brother, "Bono" into the man he is today. 58 years is just the beginning.....and Bono has much more work to do in this world.....creating gorgeous music and impacting the lives he touches with his profound talents/presence. Happy 29th birthday, Jordan....too! How special to have the same birthday as your dad!!!!
  10. weird indeed....art is weird.....comes from a subconscious place.....dreams are like being drunk....altered reality.....lowered inhibitions.... Interesting about the "drunk'' aspect again, referring to the Alice cooper story.....but, "trying to throw your arms around the world" was about u2's first, new experiences with the excesses of partying/drinking....in their late twenties...not when young/teens. "Dali'' reference must have some connection? Surreal/altered reality of drinking and the rockstar life? How creativity is affected? Good or bad????? Not sure???
  11. Fun how this works...right? Human interaction is one giant web....tethered.... Hmm....yes, Bono has a thing for Dali.....but, I don't know the origin of this fascination or 'why'.
  12. yes... cool to be YOU...silly. Having the experience.....and what it taught you.....and shaped you creatively. You were destined to have that because God knew you would value it beyond the egocentric.. it's comparable to meeting the band and appreciating the moment....instead of seeking a autograph/picture. Which is more sincere? Which is more centered around the work of a artist, or the overall experience rather than then being associated to such a masterful teacher. Your professor had the humility to teach you this....and you comprehended the value of his teachings. I love the must
  13. Omnivox....I took my kids to the Joshua tree concert last year. They made their own shirts/hat.....actually, my older daughter wore my t-shirt i made when I was 13 years old(u2 boy)...back in 83'....it was surreal seeing her wear my shirt. They roughed the GA line....and I mean it was rough....but, my youngest daughter had rail/front row.....and got Edge's pick, too. I felt bad for them....but, they loved it....a memory they will always treasure. I couldn't get GA's for the entire family this time due to the weird pre-sale. it's just my husband and I....this time around. I'
  14. "I dreamed I saw Dali...with a supermarket trolley.....trying to throw his arms around a girl. He took a open top beetle Through the eye of a needle He was trying to throw his arms around the world." Cool story Mano....not one everyone could say they have experienced in their life time. How cool is that? How cool to be YOU....and have such a dynamic, creative mentor. I think it's ironic that I used "Dali" as illustrative point...to describe the random creative process. I think Dali had a unabridged mind....no filters.....and created from a child-like place. So, what is
  15. I hope so too, Omnivox.....the band has got to read this for "feedback".....I want to believe.....but, hey....it's their artistic expression....maybe 'crumbs' doesn't fit into their story/theme they would like to t convey on the tour.
