  1. I liked the night one setlist, a lot. But I'm pretty bummed out that they dropped Wild Horses after one night -- it sounded great. I also think pulling Song for Someone out of the Innocence section is a strange choice (and I was hoping to hear it since I didn't catch the 2015 tour). I would agree at this point that buying tickets to multiple nights isn't a necessity for U2 at this point. Obviously it's a blast, but time and money are always limited. It's not quite worth it for me anymore. Better move would be to hit every leg that they're in your neck of the woods, because things can change significantly in those cases. Anyway, bring back Wild Horses and Song For Someone please :)
  2. I agree with the people who say they use need to mix it up every time they go out. Give some songs a rest, let us miss them, and then bring them back refreshed / revitalized. However, there are a handful of songs that have either never done it for me or that I'm just tired of: Still Haven't Found (this is among my least favorite U2 hits, weird I know) Elevation Stuck in a Moment Sweetest Thing (not really played that much so it's not a major problem) Honestly that's all I'm coming up with, though. I get people who are tired of Mysterious Ways / Real Thing / One, but I never get tired of anything from Achtung Baby. With or Without You is great when they play it properly but I feel like they didn't do that until they went back to the drawing board for the JT2017 tour and played it like they did back in 1987. Like many others, I'd be fine with them dropping stuff like Beautiful Day, Vertigo, Pride, etc. and replace those with other songs from the era that get played less often.
  3. I'm OK with that, but then again I didn't catch the 2015 tour. Those are also probably my four favorite songs on SoI, so I'm glad that I will almost certainly catch those when I see them this time. Also, given what I've seen from the Paris live show and what I know about those songs, it seems like a pretty important part of the show's narrative. And given how essentially the entire rest of the show is different than the 2015 setlist, I'm overall pretty good with it. That's just my 2 cents though.
  4. Wow, this is quite the eye-opening thread. I haven't gone to see U2 in general admission since 2009 at Foxboro. As I've gotten a little older, I've decided that most of the time it's just not worth it so generally I try and find decent seats instead so I don't have to worry about any of this. That said, I did GA for several Elevation and Vertigo shows and luckily didn't encounter any of this nonsense. Guess things have changed. Because tickets in decent seats have become so expensive, I decided to get a pair of GA tickets for Philly this time out. Had considered going earlier, but I don't think I'm up for any of this nonsense. I'm fine not being super close -- having a good few of the stage show is enough for me. I got to ride the rail in front of Edge twice in 2001... basically the best view I've ever had for a concert for any band, let alone my favorite. After that, I'm fine just being in the building most of the time Also - hello fellow fans. Been a fan club member since the U2.com subs started back in 2005 but I've never ventured into the forums. Y'all see like a good time.
