  1. "American Soul" being played in Washington DC... interesting thought.
  2. I figure the i+e and e+i shows would likely get the package, if there is a package to be made. TJT Tour 2017 would likely be a standalone release.
  3. Lasts 1:05:03 - Some interesting discussion in here.
  4. Best live "Bullet" I'd have to say was the PopMart performance. Until the band played it at the Salesforce gig and called out Donald Trump. That is the heaviest I've ever heard it.
  5. Nostalgia..... Fuck the past, kiss the future.
  6. How are people still getting this idea that the band will work on and release Songs of Ascent? Especially since it became Songs of Experience and the band have stated they feel a long way from that No Line on the Horizon-era of material?
  7. Anton Corbijn filmed some shows during the South American leg for release. I suspect the reason the band haven't released it yet is because they wouldn't want sales of that product to distract from what they are doing currently. May want to wait a bit after the innocence + experience era comes to a close. I wouldn't put it past them to release a show from the current tour. I thought during 2016 that shooting & releasing the Paris show was jumping the gun too early... that is until this current tour was announced, then I understood it to be a seperate tour in the i+e era. so that the shows would be different in different ways.
  8. So most fans will know that U2 normally tends to film a show on their current tour for home video release rather late into a tour, and during a time when they're playing a city with multiple nights; 1st night is a dress rehearsal, 2nd night is the show that gets released. Some occasions they've authorized a home video cut made up of both nights. Being that the entire 2nd (and final) leg of the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE TOUR 2018 is made up of cities with 2-4 days, makes it hard to pinpoint where the band will shoot. But it will be fun to predict. So I'm predicting Dublin. Let's see your predictions for #U2eiTour
  9. If the mp3 downloads show up in our accounts, does that mean we will receive the vinyl discs in the mail?
  10. The Disneyland Resort just offered me a position this morning, that's great!
  11. No, the shows were sold out... the problem was the traffic & parking situation at The Forum during both nights. It was messy outside! And for the record, the setlist was amazing!
  12. Both LA shows were sold out. What are you talking about?
  13. The band aren't "anti-police", they are "anti-Trump regime", there's a difference. Trump was "elected" because he cheated. Plain and simple. If you don't see that, then I pity you. And clearly you don't see why the show ends with "13 (There is a Light)". Just like when the 2015 tour started with "The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)", this is a production built on STORY ELEMENTS, not just any rock concert. and the song "13" ends that story wonderfully!
  14. He's been around the world, seen so many things. Clearly not naive after all that for 40+ years. Naive are those who live in their bubble saying things like "pandering to woman is feeble", and that's putting it nicely.
  15. I was there that night, and there was no "we know better than you" said. But yes, they do know better than a whole lot of people. Primarily those on the right. I loved the performance of "American Soul" -- loud, flashy, and lyrics full of substance and heart. And the fact that the band sticks it to Trump supporters and Republicans every night with this song -- I LOVE THAT! Those people are sickening and I love that they're getting so much resistance from the majority of the country, if not the world.
  16. I believe the cowgirl swinging the lasso is Morleigh (Mrs. The Edge 2 U)
  17. 1. Will the band please play The Joshua Tree in sequence order, as long as the setlist builds up to "Where the Streets Have No Name" first? 2. What will U2 do to honor the 20th anniversary of POP and the PopMart Tour? 3. When is that Rattle and Hum Super Deluxe Edition with the remastered movie on Blu-ray coming out?
  18. Dear Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen, Jr. I first heard of your band in 1987 – I was 7 years old at the time, and a U2 fan introduced me to your music. The Joshua Tree was brand new at the time. As I was growing up, I bought Achtung Baby, and as I played the cassette over and over… and over, I wound up buying your other albums, but your PopMart tour stop in Eugene, Oregon at Autzen Stadium was what cemented me as a U2 fan FOR LIFE. Not only was it my first rock concert in my life, but it also showed me what rock concerts could and should be: fun, and visually spectacular. I really came to adore the stage –the largest television screen in the world, the 100-ft. tall golden yellow arch that would change colors and patterns… and the mirrorball lemon. Wow! I was at your show at the Rose Garden arena in Portland, Oregon on April 15th, 2001 and heard the news Joey Ramone had died. I was at your 2nd Los Angeles show at The Forum during the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE 2015 tour the day your tour manager Dennis Sheehan passed. I’ve really enjoyed the U2 concerts I’ve been to. Yet almost 20 years later, PopMart still blows my mind and, even though most Americans didn’t understand it, and it cost a lot of money to produce on a nightly basis, I believe PopMart truly was groundbreaking, innovative and spectacular. The 4 of you should be very proud of PopMart! I loved Songs of Innocence. My thanks goes to the four of you and Apple for presenting the album to me as a gift. I would've bought the album anyway, but your intention was sweet! My top 3 favorite songs on the album are “The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)”, “Iris (Hold Me Close)” and “Cedarwood Road”, plus the single “Invisible”. Those new songs were real standouts on the tour, and I hope they stay in the setlist for the future. I understand U2 is working on getting Songs of Experience finished and going back out on the road to continue the tour, however, I have a couple of concerns regarding products. First – unlike The Best of 1990-2000, The Best of 1980-1990 never received a DVD release. As a longtime fan, I feel that should be corrected. Second – and I know this was asked on the podcast “U Talkin’ U2 to Me?” – I am interested to know if you will continue the remaster campaign with Rattle and Hum and Pop anytime soon? Rattle and Hum was ignored, understandably for Achtung Baby’s 20th anniversary at the time, yet it shouldn’t be passed over any longer. 2018 is the 30th anniversary. Although the film was derided at the time, its been accepted over time and the songs still hold up. Indeed, Rattle and Hum is still an important part of your history as a band. I know fans like myself on the internet have commented on what they would like to see included, such as b-sides, outtakes and other live tracks, alongside the film remastered on Blu-ray (the out-of-print Blu-ray featured an ugly HD transfer, courtesy of Paramount) with director/band audio commentary and leftover footage. As for Pop, I’ve seen Larry mention in an interview he would like someday to re-do the album to have it be the way the band originally intended, that idea interests me. And there was a 48 minute documentary called “Working in the PopMart” that was on the Discovery Channel that would be nice to include in the package – it showed a day in the life of the PopMart crew. The video on YouTube is of terrible quality. I would like to hear about the status on these releases soon and will very much look forward to buying them. Thank you for your music and for sticking around for 40 years, it’s been quite an adventurous ride, and to quote Larry, a real “musical journey”. Sincerely, Robert Hay October 14th, 2016
  19. I was there that night! R.I.P. Dennis Sheehan!
  20. Nevermind, I think I've got it right. Here's the final version for all iPhone 6/iPhone 6S users
  21. Please help a fellow fan out!
  22. Making a clean wallpaper of the Joshua Tree artwork for iPhone 6 (it's those gorgeous Retina Displays; they can reveal the slightest imperfections), but I need to know which version of the color Gold was used in the lettering and the lines that surround the photos? I want it to look as accurate as possible. I'm making this in Photoshop. Once completed, I would like to share. Any help here would be appreciated, because Google isn't any help to me at the moment.
  23. My paid subscription ends on the 31st of January and still nothing.... I don't want the same gift I got last year and I have no interest in vinyl...
