  1. U2 selecting Jay-Z may well prove to be the Big Mistake they made. No matter how popular he is in his genre, it may well have hurt ticket sales more than if they had Snow Patrol or another hot OS rock band. I like Empire State of Mind, but I think U2 has made a big mistake with this particular audience.
  2. [quote name='SandSCreative wrote: powervideo']Got my other two RZ1's so the kids can come too now. Geez that was a stress out!!!!! Now I wll have to move my 4 P2 tickets. Phew Hey, congrats on getting the RZs you needed. Appreciate it man! Thanks.

  4. I'd doubt it. They started selling U2.com fan club tix yesterday without any password field until someone noticed and fixed it ten minutes into the sale.
  5. Yeah what is it about Brisbane, while Melbourne RZ was red hot?
  6. It's not just Ticketek. I rang TM to confirm, and they said there are no Red Zone tix available for Live Nation. I got a personal email from LN last saying there would be RZ tickets. They build up people's hope then can't or won't deliver.
  7. Well there no RZ's at all in the Live Nation Dec 3 presale. It said allocation exhausted even before I logged on (and I was very quick). Same ticket blocks available as the U2.com presale.
  8. Perhaps put an ad on the ticket trade board to buy a couple of RZ1s and if you get someone who wants to sell, then advertise the 4 P2s. Or ... try and get some RZs in the public sale. If you can get in when the gates open you have a pretty good chance of getting them. Yeah thanks for that Nniixx. I'll try for RZ in the public. I hear there were none for sale in the Live Nation presale #1. The whole "get your RZ wristband thing on the day" is a real pain to have to hook up with your buyer. All is not lost guess, but man, what an expensive morning... I reckon the Tickmaster dude thought I was general public and by "VIP" the supervisor meant U2.com fan Club members. I've filed a complaint, so anyway... That was SandSCreative who suggested that. Oops, thank you too!

  10. [quote name='Nniixx wrote: powervideo']Well they refused to sell me four tickets to me over the 'phone this morning telling me "Redzone can only be sold to VIP customers". I've written to them and have had to purchase four other expensive seated tickets. If they don't resolve this after my correspondence I am going to take action in the small claims tribunal against Ticketmaster. You are a paid subscriber to U2.COM aren't you ? Free members don't get a code or access to the presale. Yep I'm a paid subscriber with 2U2 and 3U2 codes.
  11. [quote name='Nniixx wrote: powervideo']I'm mainly upset about it because I wanted my two kids to have a real blast at their first rock concert in RZ close-up. Now I've spent $1,700 to get into a hell of a mess. Jeeeshhh. What 4 seats cost you $1700 ? No, 4 x P2 and 2 x RZ1 = $1700 (approx)

  14. I had pretty much the same problem with the sydney show i thought that was going to miss out & have to fight it out on friday but when i went in about th e15mins latter they all droped down & let me in fine have the $229 tix as my daughter wanted to sit looks like should have a good viewWhere did you get?
  15. Ticket sales for M2 have almost stopped with all but RZ still available. (Still hurting over that Ticketmaster RZ stuffup this morning). I think everyone who has a pre-sale code has used it.
  16. Maybe it was to deliberately keep people in the dark otherwise people would look at the map and see that some of the more expensive seats might have a strage viewing angle eg the $299 ones are closest, but side on to the stage and were worried that poeple might baulk at buying them. Which is what's happening anyway as there are still some P2 and P3. Yes I saw the $299 tix at Etihad were way on the rear/side in Aisle 40, but the $229 Aisle 34 seats where I got were on the "wing" of the stadium with a better view. I think those side $300 tix are not good value.
  17. Thanks I got 'cheap' seats section L2 47, row E, seats 12-9. What are they like?(don't think they are on your map as cheap seats) You are at the rear of the stage (near the gate 3 sign). Not sure on the view. You are five rows behind the Level 2 barrier.
  18. [quote name='RockyU2 wrote: powervideo']Well I just had a horrendous experience on Ticketmaster. I rang the number, got hold of an operator, who said yes he has four for me, but checked with a supervisor and said they are only authorised to sell Redzone tickets to VIP Package people only. He said you had to book online. By the time I got online, I got 2 tix but couldn't get them for the kids. All allocation was gone. I rang and spoke to another operator who said sorry but too bad. All sold out. This whole U2 presale thing is the worst ticket experience I've come across with contradictory information. Aww that's so unlucky. I'm surprised tho - baja or someone said on another thread if you need 4 RZ tickets you have to call the agency. Nothing about not being allowed to sell them to non-VIP package purchasers. That doesn't sound right :/ Hopefully you might be able to buy another 2 either in LiveNation or general public sale or else from someone who needs to sell later. Pretty bummed about it. As a precaution I bought 4 x Front Row A-seats in Aisle 34 on Level 2. I can always sell them to friends if I don't get the other two Redzones. But it's a damned expensive way of doing business. I just hope I don't have a great big craw leg in our way.

  20. Just wondering if I will be able to get four RZ tickets for Melbourne Etihad Dec3 in the presale (if I'm lucky). I couldn't get to use my two codes in the first presale. I remember baja saying you had to telephone Ticketmater as they only limit RZ tix purchases to two. Or should I just try two transactions. I don't want to get two RZ tix online then miss out on the other two for the kids while I'm trying to get through on the 'phone. Don't know what to do.................... I have asked about Red Zone and have not been given any new information. As for last presale, if you want 4 tickets, call and buy all 4 via phone-Baja
  21. REDZONE - more crowded for Oz than other territories? Just researching the posts for Redzone tickets, it seems the number of tickets being sold for RZ is steadily increasing as the tour progresses. In the early US shows it was 200+ for each RZ, then later up to 400 for the Euro shows. I'm just worried that the numbers the promoter is trying to squish in for the Aussie shows could be even greater for the Redzone. Can baja or a U2.com rep explain what seems to to be happening? I don't want to pay out megabucks for a family of four to have a sardine surrogate GA experience.
  22. Man I'm over all this talk about who got what for gig #1. Roll on the the second shows! My codes are burning a hole in my LCD.
  23. Just wondering if I enter my presale code then pull out before proceeding with the purchase, will I zap my chance for further shows if I want to keep my code for later/ Depends on how far along you were, as some computer systems did show the code as used. This depends on the ticketing system the venue uses -BAJA
