  5. Sands - I also think that most of the lower sections in briz are P1 not just on the side? If you try to get tickets in P1 now it gives you lower tier towards the back i thought
  6. Only those members who didnt use their code have a presale opportunity (therefore it is not another presale opportunity for all members)
  7. Agree with Dfunk - those who had problems in the presale should be allowed to purchase as were disadvantaged significantly by the major screw up.

  10. Last time he toured oz, he kept people waiting for more like 2 hours - he does it just so that he can say that he played past midnight and ignores all guidelines on what is actually allowed at a venue - he is a child

  13. I wish I had just waited till this sale to get tix as was very easy and very smooth (and I ended up with better seats than the presale).

You mention Pearl Jam doing by seniority, but they do it a HELL of a lot better than this. Acknowledge the problem rather than hide it and recompensate the people you have impacted. At the end of the day, the following has occurred: * Marketing to the masses that if you become a subscriber you will get access to a presale at a certain time and date * You will have ample access to ticket type and location prior to public sale You have scammed people on both instan
  15. Hmmm... everyone may be cool with being offered tix - BUT after wasting as many hours as you have wasted. Combined, you are looking at hundreds fold of wasted time when we are the paying customers. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, I managed to get tickets elsewhere PRIOR to being offered tix via U2.com. Agree that you cant guarantee redzone, but the way that you palmed the issue off, then it got palmed back, etc. for what was a VERY long period needs to be addressed. Agree you worked your butts off, but to be honest the buck-passing was ridiculous - at first the blame was placed on the customer,
  16. OK - so i finally get a call tonight from ticketek - offering me good seats - problem is i already had to buy worse seats (in the $300 area mind you) and had to knock them back as couldnt refund the seats from livenation presale - thanks u2.com you rock!! best $50 i ever spent.

I sent in a formal email requesting a refund and got one back saying that everything is fixed and ring this number, blah blah blah - however, it still doesnt fix the problem that I will get better tix on Friday than I will now that I will be one of the last to purchase from the presale (if I ever get to purchase - I had to leave a number to possibly get called back tomorrow, after another 'free' presale has since occurred).   19. Re A current affair - I hope so - if I dont get a refund as requested it sure will be Re getting a new code via sending a message to U2 help then why the f werent we told to do that yesterday instead of being put on a list that was being sent, then was discarded, blah blah blah.
  20. I have just formally requested a refund. I tried to call U2 number but was engaged and have wasted enough time on this shambles. Again, my issue is different from others and is a U2 problem but I would be better off just waiting for Friday. I would advise others to use the contact us form to do same if unhappy.

From FAQ's for everyone looking here: "All subscribers will be emailed with details of when they can enter the presales and all will get ample time to make their choice of ticket and venue ahead of the public onsale of tickets beginning at 1pm on Friday, September 3rd." Issues: 1. Not everyone has received emails - I know I haven't. 2. It doesn't appear that members are being given their "choice of ticket". For me, it appears that this is a lost opportunity to secure decent seats ahead of the public sale as they are likely to open up betters seats than we can now access on Friday
  22. Can I please be added to the list? I am sure you will delve through the posts to find everyone - but my messaging isnt working for some reason. My code never worked today - I think it may be because I have a 3U2D code even though I paid after the cutoff date, possibly because I have been a free member to get newsletters, etc. for quite some time? But I worked on the assumption that all new paid members were allocated Cedar and so didn't try until today... or maybe it just didn't work as it should have (I didn't browse or anything).
  23. Ticketek are generally far better and more stable than Ticketmaster - they are not used to individual codes and obviously someone has written a bad code to deal with it. However, overall I would much prefer to deal with Ticketek than Ticketmaster.
  24. People can get refunds/reversals on their membership by notifying their credit card company/bank if they do not receive what is offered as part of the package - if they dont get tickets because of a sellout that is one thing but this appears to be a whole other issue where the privileges worked for some but not others
