I understand your point of view, but War has never been my favorite album. But U2 has indeed work to do.

I always predicted the band still has three albums in them and I hope they don't forget the raw, rock style the band once had.

I listen a lot to Boy and October and hope the band can also find that spirit again. They were truly great in those days, as in several other periods by the way.

What we first need now is a bunch of new songs. New material to conquer the charts and the live scene.

i & e was a little bit ahead of its time, listening to it now I have more clarity. The songs are more reflective.

I only listen to oldies every other week 😏

Im in a brutal mood, havent listened to Bono and Edge new collaboration with the girly boy, no offence but if U2 return then they should be seriously thinking about their legacy and what would serve them best. War is quintessential U2 so raw and powerful and this is the lightning in a bottle they need to recapture, give us a no holds barred statement on the confused and fucked up world that we live in today with a dash of the U2 humanity thrown in, I know you guys can see what we do, are you brave enough to get really controversial and up everyones asses one more time, hoping so, bye for now

I'm offended by your comment.  In this context your statement referring to a 'girly boy' sounds homophobic. Being peace & optimism are controversial.  I enjoy different kinds of music. I like to be surprised, so so don't think I would want to tell someone what they should write, there's power in words.

  3. This wasn't posted yet on the front page, otherwise I'd not have posted.

I can take notes in a notebook or a journal, I'll remember that next time and be content

    Hello!

Anybody here could tell me what is that particular sound that can be heard from 0:17 to 0:50?

Is it a guitar sound (largely modified of course)? A keyboard sound?

I've been wondering for so long!

    Thanks...

I think it's something Peter Frampton invented, a synthesizer of some sort

I've been working and maintaining a sense of normalcy in my routine.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I had a few meltdowns about work, expecting my employer to set the rules, then I decided to participate in the planning process where we set the policies, that was almost a year ago. It was an interesting process, now I still feel like I'm underwater sometimes but I am comfortable with that🌅

I just renewed.... obviously the mighty  Fly won’t let a Covid 19 pandemic prevent an incoming ZooTV 30th anniversary tour......would he?

‘you didn’t come all the way out here to catch TB now did you !?’*

*Dr Nick acknowledges Covid is not related in any way to tuberculosis

Zoovid22 ? Zoodemic 23? Zoorona. we can but hope 🤞

Coming home right now Sirius ran the bumper/sting/whatever "Music chosen by U2." Then played "Under My Thumb" by The Rolling Stones. Really? So many songs to pick from and their most outright misogynistic one is selected? That's a head scratcher for sure. Are U2 actually picking these individual tracks for air play?

Wow, I'm out of the loop. I listen to Pandora and just pick stuff out I like.

Whoever made that list can be made accountable, as well as the writers. They're brats!!

    This is brutal.

This is interesting as how misogynistic a lot of pop culture can be.

    Time to grow up, boys!!

  8. 😷I found a 🔑

I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed and burntout and I found some escape reading a very good mystery novel that has introduced me to a new concept called the 'Near Enemy'.  It is a Buddhist teaching about the near enemy of a 'virtue' and manifests as an opposing effect. For example Love / Attachment , Compassionately/Pity,

Equanimity/Indifference. As a human being and an activist this can be a key concept in forming equitable solutions for longstanding problems.

It requires a new filter in the prevention if iatrogenesis.

I've been out of commission.  I'm catching up on news.  I just read there is a task force to reunite the families my country separated under our last administration.  I knew President Biden would do something, but I was still nervous.  This is best news.

It is a step in a good direction, there is a long way to go:01_ATYCLB:

A lot of people's emotions are running high. It can be challenging with communication, even more with family, where the patterns can be habitual.

Good, Padewan that you can get some work done and are feeling better.

As for me , My weekend is almost over. Going back into the fray tomorrow.

I recently lost my entire iTunes and have had to reload everything. I used to have a live version of Desire (not the one on U2 Go Home) but I can't find it on any of my CD's (and I thought I had them all.) Does anyone know where I might find it?

    Rattle& Hum? (Pop quiz😁)

It's been a struggle for me to be productive.

My head is spinning.. I'm keeping my heart❤ in the right place and finding comfort in menial tasks..

I'm feeling tired, happy I'm working. My biggest effort right now is ignoring the inconsiderate behavior of some people. Really only 1 in 100, so I just have to ignore it.

Looking forward to getting out on the lake at some point..🗻😎

I have loved Wille Nelson since I was a little boy.  His is one of the best concerts I've ever seen.  I think he is one of the coolest human beings I've ever known.  (of)    He was not feeling well last Fall either.  He was here in concert and I've been worried about him ever since.  Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain would be in my top 60 songs I could not live without.  I shall say prayers for him.  Weird you posted this-I've been thinking about him the past couple of days. I rock as hard when he's in concert as I do with U2 only it's country.   I love him dearly.  He is a national treasure.

Thank you Mano. I hope he's not quite ready to leave us.  Willie Nelson is an American Icon.! I was hoping I might get to see him at Farm Aid. An activist & a legend!❤🙏

I apologize for being so brief, I'm exhausted from work. The end of a long week.
