  1. Here's the thing I don't get, which points to this being a f**ked up system: I was on right at 9a today - as I was for the first Chicago show Wires presale (which I did NOT get tickets to). Right off the bat, as with then, I only saw tickets for $280 each. Too pricey for me. Very quickly that went to no tickets available. For 45 minutes I tried (can't tell you how many times I told them I was not a robot!). FYI - I was using the Ticketmaster app, which I've heard is the better way to go. In my frustration, I texted my wife. I've seen every tour since 1983 and have been keen to see Joshua Tree revisited. I was starting to think it wasn't gonna happen. Because my wife loves me and is awesome, she decided to take our code and try. She immediately found 3 GA tickets on her first request. WTF?!?!?! While I'm THRILLED to have gotten those, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth about the whole TM system (yet again). How does it work that I could try for 45 minutes and find nothing, where she can hop on 45 minutes into the presale and immediately find awesome tickets?!?! The randomness, and unpredictability - and possible inequity - really frustrates me, as both a consumer and lifelong U2 fan. It should work well for all, and be fair.
  2. Why couldn't it be U2 for 2.5 hours, with a brief break in between? I'd much rather hear them play selections from throughout their catalogue (i.e., not just the hits) than listen to anyone else. (And I say this having really appreciated their bringing unique bands to the fore via their opening slot through the years)
  3. Same here for the first Chicago show. After having two GAs in process yesterday morning, and then getting dropped by TM, was unable to get anything close to good. Also got locked out by TM. This morning, I decided to buy two, just in case I can't get something better during the public sale. Was NEVER asked for presale code once. Now have two nosebleed tickets. Ticketmaster sucks. And U2, you guys should know better by now. This feels all too familiar to the Elevation tour presale...
  4. By the way...anyone who works with U2...I just got presale tickets this morning, about a half hour ago, for the Chicago show (after many issues yesterday - like getting GAs and then being dropped by TM). This time, however, I was NEVER asked for my presale code. At all. Something smells...thought I'd let someone know. Thanks.
  5. Just noticed that too. It didn't ask me for the code at all. It even let me choose the seats from the map (which wasn't happening yesterday). I bought two to the 1st Chicago show, just in case. Am going to try the public sale on Monday. Maybe that'll work better...
  6. Ski-J, There is nothing more frustrating than this. 30 seconds after 12PM, I had 2 GA's come up. I was pre-logged in to TM. Within 2 seconds, I got a message that the GA's had been purchased by someone else. Someone else? I thought I was being offered the tix. I didn't even get a countdown of time for how long I had to purchase. At the very least I could have been given the chance to confirm my purchase and sit in the "circle of death" before the system would bomb out. I'd have felt better if that was the case! Was I not using the right font? Do they discriminate against those that can copy and paste? I'm at a loss! ;-) Anyone want some vinyl? Oh my gosh. This was practically my experience. With GAs. Then 100 level seats. Then 300 level seats (all at United Center in Chicago). Now, Ticketmaster has FORBIDDEN me...apparently, I'm a bot?!?! I must've entered that captcha 3,000 times today, with nothing to show for it. I wish U2 was on top of this...but they're not. They partner with crooks like TM and we get hosed. Meanwhile, the boys are enjoying chateaus in France and high-rises in NY. Makes me think of God Part II: "I don't believe in riches but you should see where I live."
  7. I tried to use my iNNOCENCE code today for the Chicago show(s). A handful of times, it posted tickets which I wanted. When I clicked buy, sometimes it switched me to a page that told me my tickets weren't available. Other times, I got to the page where I could review the ticket selection. When I clicked continue, I'd get that page again. Ugh. I've been searching again to try to find the best seats, but now I get this message: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /event/04004D82D2563C65 on this server. Apparently, I've been blocked from the Ticketmaster site, even though I have an account with them?!?!?! I know this because when I turn off wifi on my phone, I can access the website (so apparently they've shut me down via my wifi?). I have tried using the mobile app but it has continued to show me that no tickets are available, even though the website (when I could access it) said there were. This sucks. Ticketmaster sucks. U2 partnering with such corporate bullshit sucks. Please help.
  8. I'd really like to get two tickets to one of the Chicago show, as I've been following/seeing the band on every tour since I first heard them in 1984. Can someone on U2.com help me get to the bottom of this? Thanks.
