Oh no, not another tragic 2020 death. How sad. RIP.

Hopefully as many girls as possible over the course of Justice Ginsburgās long life and career. She inspired and will continue to inspire me.
Thatās beautiful, but why did it take until 2020?
We lost Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac this weekend. What a guitar legend.

Paul's birth has changed my world and the collective energy of the world. I think it is with divine intent and purpose that his birthday is the same day as Mother's Day andĀ first born daughter, Jordan.
Paul's Mother, Iris, gave birth to this child of enlightenment. Despite her death and Paul mourning her physical/emotional presence most of his life....her death gave Paul a second birth. In Paul mourning Iris...her death breathed new life in whom we know as Bono.
Bono's birth gave a new compassionate voice to the world. That voice, a beautiful gift to the world.....that brings comfort and joy to so many.
What birthday gift would you give Bono?
Ā
Iād like to give him a song, but I donāt know if I have any that are good enough.
Ā
Bono taught me to sing. When I got my car and could enjoy any music I wanted (especially lots of U2) all alone, I slowly went from the girl who would rather die than sing to the girl who would sing shyly to the girl who would belt it out like her favorite Irish tenor and duet with him on dozens of his songs while driving to and from work.
Ā
This took longer, but Bono also taught me to write songs. I was blown away by every track on Achtung Baby! and wished I could write a whole album or even just 1 song with lyrics as amazing as Bonoās.
Ā
Ā I have written multiple songs about or inspired by Bono, but none of them seem worthy to perform for him. Iām glad I wrote them, even the weak ones, because each was a learning experience, but would any of them be worthy gifts on the level of the gifts that Bono has given me?
Ā
Thank you for teaching me to sing and write songs, Bono, and happy birthday!

A legendary American performer and songwriter. Younger generations may not be familiar with his work, but he is very worthy of discovering. He beat two different forms of cancer 15 years apart; unfortunately, those two battles took their toll enough to make his final battle with coronavirus too difficult to overcome.
R.I.P. again, John...
Ā
I regret that I wasnāt familiar with his music until this tragic moment, but I am enjoying clever lyrics and folksy midwestern voice. RIP, Mr. Prine.

It will be awesome, or at least interesting..,
Ā
But can they fit a giant lemon into Bonoās living room for the full Pop Mart experience? š

I think Iām still seeing Primus in June.
Ā
Ā At least The Wedding Band concert didnāt get cancelled last week, or I would have missed the great and historic Wah-Off contest between Kirk āThe Ripperā Hammett and Mrs. Smith the Crazy Manhattan Cat Lady. ššš¤

(I still canāt believe Kirk lost š®š)

Are you worried about the coronavirus stopping the concerts?
The Wedding Band tomorrow nightĀ
I never heard a single Primus song until yesterday morning, but in June, I will hear them perform Rushās entire A Farewell to Kings album in Raleigh, NC.
Iām going to see Cygnus X-2, a local Rush cover band who are planning a big tribute to Neil Peart, but first Iām gonna see the Wedding Band, a supergroup that features the singer from Ugly Kid Joe and Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo from Metallica, and they promise to play āall the songs that you hate hearing at your friends wedding.ā š
Iām going to see the local Rush cover band Cygnus X-2 in March. Theyāre performing a special tribute to Neil Peart and the ticket sales will benefit cancer charities.

Amen, and if your mom is a fan of Rush and Van Halen, hopefully Neil and Eddie are entertaining her. š
