In 2 days I progressed from 1 dot to 3 (from Numb ranking to Babyface to Achtung Baby). It seems to have something to do with the number of posts and comments you make. But I also have a total reputation of 4, which is somehow still neutral (I'd have thought 0 was neutral and that I could be up or down voted)

A lot of nooks and crannies suddenly opened up like alternate dimensions when I subscribed. I've been such a kid and spent most of my time at the playground, but it's not too hard of a site to navigate. I'm more mystified by the dots ranking system. Enjoy your own journey, natural11.

In another thread, somebody asked if U2 planned a Tom Petty tribute, and one of the moderators mentioned they did one during their recent Mexico City show. After I looked it up, I posted a thank you note on the thread for the band. I don't know if Bono, The Edge, Adam, or Larry will ever see it, but I didn't want to waste an opportunity for gratitude (and now I should thank the moderator for telling us all about it. I feel bad I didn't think of that sooner.)

I wouldn't be surprised if U2's crew (or even the lads themselves) sometimes browse the site, but I'm only certain that the site's moderators see most of the comments or come regularly.

I've never worked on anything like that, but I hope an interesting collection of small artifacts could be made, displayed, and transported without too much effort or expense.

Really? That's wonderful! I love Tom Petty almost as much as I love U2. I wasn't sure if U2 doing a Tom Petty tribute would work since their sounds are so different, but if it works, that's perfect. Thanks for honoring one of rock music's greatest artists, U2! RIP Tom Petty

For a long time, I've had a tie between No Line On The Horizon and Achtung Baby! for my favorite U2 album. I think I've resolved it now and Achtung Baby! is in first, but NLOTH is a very close second. It's rare for an album to have both great individual songs and have all the songs fit together in a nice cohesions, and Achtung Baby! is one of those rare albums. All the brightly-colored songs compliment and contrast, but never clash.

A portable museum or traveling display is a good idea for several reasons. Not only could it ship anywhere, it would be the perfect size to see all of without getting tired. The only drawback is that you probably couldn't display any stages.

We'd need an atom smasher to dismantle this atomic compound, not that we want to dismantle it. I hope it has a half life of at least 2 billion years. Great artwork, Brendo.

I've found that every U2 song sounds better once you hear it many times. On every album there's at least 1 or 2 that I like instantly but like even more once they become familiar, and there are some I need to hear 10 or 20 times before I like them. I used to think "Song for Someone" and "With or Without You" were slow, boring, and mushy, but now they're beautiful and delicate. I like the new releases, but I know I'm going to like them even more after playing them at least 5 more times.
