  1. Love this place even if they didn't write an album about them....there's no place like home.
  2. From the album: ewe too

  3. Has anyone heard information about a video release for the Joshua Tree Tour 2017? With one of their most visually stunning shows ever, and the importance of the re-tour for the anniversary, I have searched the site and searched online but can not find even a whisper. Am I missing some info somewhere? Surely they would not withhold letting us relive the incredible experience forever!? Especially with so many songs in the set list so wonderfully redone and played live for the first time! If there is no official word can we get support in the thread? Greatest Band. Greatest Album. Greatest Tour.
  4. Denver misses U2. Great shows for I+E, but we missed out on the Joshua Tree tour. I hope it's not too late for an E+I show in the city that is home to Red Rocks.
  5. Hello, I have two GAs for tomorrow's (Tuesday, Sept. 19th, 2017) Phoenix show. See everyone else at the show tomorrow! Alexia
  6. Hi everyone! I'm desperately in search of 1 GA for San Diego. I'm hoping to queue in advance and would happily help with line management if needed (I arrive from Vancouver late Wednesday evening). Please let me know! Thanks, Michelle
  7. From the album: JT

These trees are absolutely stunning - I so wish the UK had the climate to grow them.
  8. My wife bought me the CD version of the JT 30th anniversary box set for my birthday today, and it showed up shrink wrapped with all the correct labels on it. However when I opened it it contained the following: No CDs 2 empty black vinyl sleeves 2 copies of the 8 Anton Cobijn prints 1 book of Edge's photo that has been bound backwards and upside down. Meaning, when opening the book with the cover facing upward the first page is actually the last page of the book facing downward. As you read through the book upside down, the last page is the dedication page (which should be first) followed by the back cover again facing the right way. It was a little hard to take photos to show it but I think you can see enough to make sense. I also included a stock photo of the real box set and a photo of what my set actually looks like. Did anyone else get a box set that's screwed up like this one? She bought hers through Amazon so they are sending a replacement for free, but I think I'm going to keep the book - it might be a collector's item down the road!
  9. HI there I'm looking to buy 1 x ticket for any of the Amsterdam shows. Ideally a GA ticket. If you know of someone who is selling or if you have a spare ticket then please get in touch. Thank you
  10. Hi Excited to have Red Zone tickets for Joshua Tree at Twickenham - does anyone have information on if Emma (or a Red Zone representative) will be contacting re ticket pick ups? Emma was an amazing help at the O2 in 2015 and sadly the ticketing agents are typically slow on information or help! Thanks
  11. To commemorate the fact that I finally got to see the boys in concert after a 30yr musical journey (and JT being the first U2 album I owned as an 8yr old), I present to you my Yucca Plant JT tattoo.
  12. Toronto music journalist Alan Cross posted this today. Quite an impressive overhead shot of the crowd taken from the observation deck at the CN Tower . http://ajournalofmusicalthings.com/hows-photo-u2-concert/
  13. I think that Ticketmaster dropped the ticket prices today. The same tickets that yesterday costed $100, today are listed at $70 and the tickets that costed $290 today are listed at $165. The other price levels didn't suffer any change. https://www1.ticketmaster.com/event/0A0052C3807D0D27?ac_link=ontour_U2C_FCGRID_2017_sandiego
  14. Hi all, Been to MANY U2 concerts all the way back to 1987 but this will be my first GA experience. Any suggestions on how this will work, will they let us line up early, how to get a good spot, and lastly, WHY are they not running the train from Boston? I appreciate any information! So excited for this concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Hi, I have two tickets for Twickenham 9th July (standing) and need to swap them for two tickets for Sunday 8th July. Anyone? Thanks Jez
  16. Hi Guys, I'm just wondering if anyone has received their UK Collector Tickets yet? ...waiting in anticipation by the door! Mike
  17. I'm planning to go to the Rose Bowl show. In travelling there, I'm seriously considering a detour to Death Valley and to see the original site of the actual Joshua Tree from the album cover. Also, to go see Zabriskie Point in Death Valley, where the front cover photo was taken. I can't think of a better opportunity to go than this one. I figure going a day or so before the show would be ideal (May 19). Anyone else out there in Zootopia planning on going to find these remote desert scenes?
  18. I have to 2 GA tix for Saturday May 20 but can't go. I can go Sunday! Anyone w 2 GA or 2 good seats want to swap their Sunday for my Saturday?
  19. Check out my blog about The Joshua Tree 30 Years Later Enjoy!
  20. Sorry...I know I'm going to get flamed for this... Bono can't sing anymore. His range is gone....especially his lower register. I'm not trying to be mean spirited but I can't fathom shelling out money to see the Joshua Tree Tour 2017 when I know I'd be getting Bono 2017 versus Bono 1987. I know, I know....people get old and their voice changes. However, I'm at the point where I find his voice annoying and I cringe when I hear him sing from their older catalog...i.e. Joshua Tree. And I'm not cringing because I don't like him...it's more of a feeling of pity. I know that many think his voice is great...so if you feel that way I hope you got tickets and enjoy the show. Me...I'm bowing out. I've seen them over a dozen times and it's time to call it quits. Anyone else feel the same way? Again, not trying to start a war...just my opinion.
  21. Hello to all my fellow U2 fans. VegasPatrick here. Haven't been on the forums in forever, but I wanted to post something pretty cool from my former place of employ, the Las Vegas Review-Journal. It's a multimedia expose on the original Joshua tree, the album of course, the story behind the video shoot for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Just all kinds of great stuff, by standout writers Henry Brean and Jason Bracelin, and photographer/videographer Michael Quine. Give it all a look! https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/nation-and-world/fans-still-find-what-theyre-looking-for-at-joshua-tree-made-famous-by-u2/ https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/music/the-untold-story-of-u2s-1987-video-shoot-in-downtown-las-vegas/
  22. Does anyone else have the previously-released JT edition, it was maybe for the 25th anniversary? (I've had it a while, hard to remember) Does anyone know if there's more material on the new one? Most of my favorite U2 songs are from the "extras", so if there are more "extras" then I'm in. But I was just wondering if anyone can compare them.
