  1. Has anyone seen the Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, specifically "The Beatles Love" or "Michael Jackson's One"? Does anyone else think that a Cirque du Soleil show with the music of U2 would be fantastic to see and hear? The U2 music catalogue has enough breadth and depth to construct a storyline with interesting characters and places (MacPhisto, The Fly, Yahweh, Zoo Station, Vertigo, etc.), and U2 can draw fans from all over the world, so I think it is possible for the creative minds and talents of Cirque du Soleil to create a U2 Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas. I once saw a local college dance troup perform a dance show to U2 music. The Mirage built their theater for the Beatles Love show, including over 6,000 speakers (two in each headrest for stereo effects and one in the back of the seat facing you, plus the larger speakers throughout the theater), and Giles Martin did a Grammy Award winning remix of the Beatles music to create the sonic experience for the performers. I think the same could be done with U2. What do the rest of you think? Should we start a campaign to move this idea forward?
  2. I'm planning to attend the U2 concert in Vegas next May! I'm flying from Oakland and landing in Sin City Friday morning (May 11th). I hope they add a 2nd Saturday night show on Saturday! I was thinking of staying at nearby hotels like MGM, Monte Carlo or NY NY. Anyone interested in sharing a room? If interested, please send me a PM. Men, Women, pair of friends, couples are welcomed. All I ask is that you're respectful, follow through, and easy going. I'm a 31 year old male working in the video game industry in the Bay Area. Let's share U2-concert stories! I don't expect to hang out all weekend but I've been to Vegas many times and can help you tour the strip! Thanks!

  6. From the album: Zoo TV

Two copies of the free concert program handed out by Las Vegas radio station KOMP. My ticket stub. One of the Bono Bucks I got from a roadie before the show. Two of the photos I took at the concert, which turned out very poorly. The cover of issue #12 of the fanzine U2 And Then Some, which contained a short review of the concert.
