Hi all I'm currently running a charity fundraiser for the Red Cross Syrian/Refugee Crisis appeal by raffling off a set of U2 paintings I've done. Details below - any and all support appreciated! Like anyone who saw it, I was horrified by the image of little Aylan Kurdi washed up drowned on a beach last week. And like many I don't ever want to have to see another photo like it. I've been following the first few European shows too and have been pretty moved by the tributes and references to the refugee crisis happening across Europe at the moment, of which Aylan was a tragic victim. So I've decided to try put my love of U2 and a desire to help together and have come up with this: I have a set of U2 paintings I've done (they're 21x12x1.5 inches each and there's one of each band member.) which I want to raffle off to fans in exchange for donations. Basically each $5/£3/€4 donation gets you one "raffle ticket" ($10 get you two, $15 three etc etc) and at the end of the fundraising goal, I'll draw a winner! So essentially for just a $5 donation going to an incredible cause, you could win a full set of original, one of a kind paintings of your favourite band! I've set up a Just Giving page with all donations going to the Red Cross Syria Crisis Appeal which will directly help those affected by the war and refugees currently in other countries. Details and links to that can be found here: https://twitter.com/diannedelahunty/status/640278524079808512 And you can follow and RT me to spread the word on Twitter @diannedelahunty U2 fans, like the band, are a generous lot. Buy your tickets, spread the word to other fans, make a difference! PS: I've been given Mod approval to post this - thanks Bigwave
