I have not seen or heard of any rumors of such a thing happening.... yet.  Based on all those social media posts that were happening during the 40 shows, I think it is fairly safe to say that they have enough stellar footage shot at high resolution 16:9 aspect ratio that the band should have enough material to put something together, if they wanted to.  Whether that takes the form of a commercially released film/DVD//blu-ray, or gets done as a subscriber gift, or gets released in some other way, only time will tell.

My hope is that once the initial release of the V-U2 Sphere film is out of the way, the powers that be get cracking on putting out a commercially released DVD/blu-ray/streaming video at 4K resolution, and with Dolby Atmos sound, so that everyone has a chance to get a glimpse of a superb string of performances.  While there may be some concern that a video release could cannibalize the V-U2 Sphere Experience sales, I don't think that would be the case.  If anything, it might do the reverse.  A lot of people would instantly balk at the idea of $100+ to see a concert film, but I think that if you've had the chance to see some version of it on a normal screen and it impressed, you'd be more inclined to want to see it on the massive 160K square foot Sphere screen with the Holoplot sound system, as well as take in the Atrium installations (robots, avatar scanning, holograms, etc).  Fingers crossed!
