It documents in one mans words the changes that Ireland went through in the late 19th and early 20th century, culminating in a rebellion and the fallout from it, and that,s as much as I will tell you, because I am no historian but a mere reader of works. You might find it at your local library if you are into that kind of thing.

Thanks man !

Don,t Mention it.

Standing before the mirror, my fists clenched tight.

working up a frenzy, and itching for a fight

Beating myself up day and night,

This was me, so lost at sea, so many storms.

I found my way again through you.

No longer would my heart beat like an old runner

I am fortified, and can no longer lumber.

For I carried a weight that no one could see,

this was my silent curse, and you set it free

My struggle with myself was the making of magic

Now my wand imparts something less tragic.

I will go on with this, and continue to exist

I have no reason to doubt this desire

For fear is the only way back into the fire

So be a wandering man with a plan in hand

Stay in the light, and give love at night.

A beautiful soothing tune, I listen to the Priests album through my headphones laying in bed at night sometimes.

Dancing on the winds of change.

I was a man with a lock on his heart

You were the woman so ripped apart

We came together and stirred up a storm

They said it wouldn,t last, that no flower would bloom

instead we spent wonderful years together in that room.

We saw out the sadness of what came before,

We didn,t care for the past when our minds entwined

Our body,s and soul followed suit, and out of us sparks of love would shoot.

No more could we say that love is lost

We proved to ourselves at whatever the cost, a man and a woman can win a life together

They just sometimes need to shelter from the weather.

I hold you so close, and you whisper in my ear, all those things only I am allowed to hear.

The days are so warm, and the nights so clear and bright

Our love sits gently on a star twinkling its charming light, it dips and rises and brings us a gift.

It allways surprises and gives us a lift

I love No line on the Horizon/Linear !!!!!

I love No line on the Horizon/Linear !!!!!

Me too, I listened to it constantly for over a year when it came out, and it still gets regular attention, linear holds a special place in my heart, I adore Winter and would love to hear another album come out with songs like that on it sometime.

In Defence of Duty.

As a boy I stood in awe of you

When you glided by I was silent

Except for my gaze you would not have felt me.

You turned on your heels, and gave me a wink

To a boy this gives too much room to think.

I carried the glimpse of that day with me for years.

and never thought that one day it would bring tears

the boy becomes a man, and that man adores beauty

He shyly confesses that it is his duty.

He goes on through his life admiring natures gift.

Sometimes he misses out by acting too slowly

Yet he is not displeased, because he knows in his heart

that the time will come around and he will have his part.

The woman of his dreams, no longer it seems is willing to play

For a while there she would twirl and sparkle all day.

This gives him a jolt, but he does not revolt.

He decides to hang on, and wait for his cue.

No sooner is spoken that his wish comes true.

The games go on, and never seem to end.

In his mind he believes that this is his soul friend.

The courting is tricky, and snakes lie in wait

But he wont give up, he is rapt, its too late.

He goes in for the kill on that Saints love day.

He knows just what he has to say.

She lies in wait knowing for well what the moment will bring.

And her heart begins to sing.

The time arrives and he swoons in with a question

No flower this time, no gorilla mask of to mention.

He just says his piece and leaves her to decide her direction.

Then something happens so unforseen, and so unplanned

He does something wrong and it gets out of hand.

So he is left to wonder what might have been

But years later he finally has his queen.

And his life becomes serene.

I LOVE IT !!!!! So deep yet so simple but most complicated and also brings close the nature, the universe that shelter the two lovers from the darkness and the distance that destroys !!! You should put out a book, man !!!!

YES !! !! That would be so cool !!!

YES !! !! That would be so cool !!!

A Plea.

On one hand I have a hold of your heart

on the other an unknown piece of art

The canvass promises so much, and I dive in with both hands

My work is such, that control is not mine,

I wait and wait for you to let me shine.

For i have created a tangled up mess, and my heart is under duress.

Give me honor to do unto you what you would have me do.

For I wander through the streets , passing by ghosts, they are cruel men.

And there wickedness knows no end.

Let me up from my struggle below, open your hearts and let the wind blow,

I mean you no harm, I am only a conduit for your disarm.

Too long have we fought, too loud are our thoughts,

What have we come to, a stalemate of sorts.

If you set me free, i promise to be a friend to thee, I hold no malice, it is not my way.

I would rather drink from a poison chalice, than throw it away.

So join me in love, let go of your hate, take a seat at my side

And let life be your fate.

It is what it is

You gave me a kiss, and  I blew it away.

No reason nor rhyme, I just cant say

I walked in your shoes, and you in mine

We took leaps of faith in that moment in time.

You stole my heart, and more besides,

I gave to you nothing but lies.

Except for the truth that I could not hide.

What man is this you cry at night, that only deals in darkness and won,t share the light.

Too long has this man been subject to ridicule, for he has been pinned down under iron fist rule.

His words are not his own, only the ones he says quietly to himself at night

These give him the courage to walk on and give him respite.

He takes these long lessons and stores them away,

He hugs life tightly, and waits for his day.

Meanwhile the rumours are rife, and the air can be cut with a knife

She leads the way, but he won,t throw a stone

The world watches on, and all bets are taken.

Two glittering souls kept apart and forsaken.

The earth bellows loudly, the sky shows its detest, the seas roll like thunder

and then the people protest.

So many times these woes of the heart fall upon us.

Only not so often do we take it upon us to gaze in and wonder

How could there be such a terrible blunder.

But these times are full of tests, and in order to get the best out of each other

man can and should call on his brother.
