basher1
[quote name='mick james wrote: basher1 wrote: Jake99']The show kicked so much ass that it made me feel like I'm watching the band I fell for 30 years ago. Goosebumps galore thru out the whole show. That shot of Bono during IWF with the rain, his emotion and rawness was superb. He should learn a lesson here, more music and less speeches kicks royal butt! The show was sublime! Agreed it was like going back to a time where the music done the talking not the fat guy at the front...... You know the boys were amazing when our Basher and Jake feel like they're 15 year old lads again. Nice one boys, and I feel exactly the same. They came on stage and became our teen heroes once more! - that sounds wanky, but feck it, I'm still buzzing over that performance! yep im still buzzing too got the audio of it and whacking it onto my ipod. bflorendo
It was a very stripped performance. One which normally sounds overplayed was so powerful. With or without you sounded the best it's done for a while. After a shaky start due to edges effects being out of synch on real thing which threw Larry out, the rest of the performance was perfect. Really took me back to the 90's and the rain gave me a feeling of red rocks. Reminded of Out of Control, on the Under a Blood Red Sky DVD and Breathe on the U2 360 DVD. I'm sensing that The Edge can't hear the click track (metronome...if he has it in his in-ears) at the start of some shows.
Subscriber Kristaps Posted June 26, 2011 Subscriber Share Posted June 26, 2011 The show was THE BOMB! I cannot wait to see it again, uncut and without breaks! The show just proved that even without the stage and the show, U2 can put up a hell of a performance!

Subscriber Zhivvy Posted June 27, 2011 Subscriber Share Posted June 27, 2011 I am home from front rail at Glasto, with Gibbo, Bev, Lumacy, Exist, Mulls and Jonny Wez along many others. Haven't watched any of it yet - can't wait too. being there was like a dream - still can't believe that i was actually there! We were all tired and crushed on that rail - but my god did we show the kids around us how to love your band!!!! My feet didn't touch the floor for the whole show! Rain, crushed, bruised, in pain etc..... and so worth it!
