First I was very very surprised. When I looked further I saw the mentioning of the Sydney dvd. I think the McGuinness man or whoever who did put this release together doesn't know a thing about the fans. The fans, at least the hardcore fans are all having this release for ages, so this an absolute ridiculous item.

So I think it's about 200 percent certain the cd's will contain The propaganda Melon disc. So we're gonna pay a lot of money for a nice documentary and 3 or 4 'new' tracks. .....

As a fan I can collect about 75 percent of the uberdeluxe version. I've got the glasses, the badges, the propaganda, the meloncd, the sydney cd.

But.... we'll wait... Maybe they surprise with the cd's ..... and the bonus dvd material.....

U2 is a group for rich fans. It's a SHAME they ask so much money for things we already have. So I want to boycot this item.

Where is the time that the U2-company thinks about their fans. They'd forgotten that the fans made them big.... mad.gifmad.gif

Now now, some of us don't have the glasses, the badges, the propaganda, melon cd, and so on.

The Uber would be like me buying a Viper as my next car instead of something closer to my price range, which means I'll get hte Super Deluxe as that'd be like me buying a Mustang or Camaro instead.

I don't blame U2. They don't set the prices, Universal/Mercury do, which again are set by the distributor, which once again explains why Trent Reznor left them and went independent.

Also, Amazon sets their prices fairly high .

You can thank Mercury/Universal for that not McGuiness.

I wish I could agree with you here, and I need to go back and find what I read; but McGuinness said that b/c the album is so loved, they were going to make something and people would buy it.

Why are you getting upset about something you are not going to buy. £385 is too steep for me as well, but there is a 10 disc edition with all the music and video content for about a quarter of the price.

And they did and people will buy. But McGuiness doesn't set the prices, the distributors do that. AMazon is always fairly high as opposed to say Best Buy or Walmart.

Logic, however I"ve learned that fandoms just want to piss and whine.
