After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life-with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

My nephew waited it in line for hours to meet him for a book signing, nice guy. They've seen Frankenweenie three times already!

just saw the movie and its brilliant!

go see it if you love creative, original work!

if you love pets, you may end up like me, the blubbering adult in the theater, getting curious looks from the kiddies!

so, philosophically speaking...

should we re-animate life?

are we doing it already with cloning?

A new classic, but thanks for the tip about being the blubbering adult in the theatre- that count me out from seeing it!

Should we re-animate life? No

Are we already doing it with cloning? No, cloning replicates, not reanimates.

ah, yes, a very good point I missed!

but see it anyway, and bring tissue, bc its well worth it!smile.gif

Frankenweenie was great!! Can't wait to watch it on DVD again. Very sweet movie, I loved it so much.smile.gif I know why my nephew and niece watch it 3 times. It's very good. Tim Burton is truly my nephews inspiration. He's currently working on a short film, directing, producing, editing and writing all by himself. Tim Burton is his idol. He was so thrilled to get to meet him..
