Subscriber dwhitt85 Posted December 4, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 4, 2014 Just checked on Stub Hub and lower bowl tickets for San Jose are already going for $800-900. Obviously most of the people who posted their tickets so quickly joined U2.com for the resale value of the tickets and not because they're real fans (well, maybe some are, but you know what I mean). But, what can you do about it? Nothing. Still unfortunate that many fans who joined U2.com for a shot at pre-sale tickets got screwed over today. Subscriber dragonfaerie_mychezney Posted December 4, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 4, 2014 They were posting tickets for sale yesterday. Seems to be season ticket holders for the arenas/venues and I believe our mods were letting the venues know. Season ticket holders can apparently be banned for scalping especially before presale. Not that I think that would necessarily happen.
Subscriber mynamesliam Posted December 4, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 4, 2014 Sometimes people sell tickets they don't even have yet. Thinking that they will be able to buy a seat at comparable or better value

Subscriber POP_Muzik Posted December 4, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 4, 2014 There probably should be a rule about that when joining U2's fan club, but if it's not clearly stated, then there's not much we can do. I think Pearl Jam's 10Club has a rule forbidding selling there tickets for more than face value.
Subscriber dragonfaerie_mychezney Posted December 4, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 4, 2014 @mynameisliam the stubhub tickets were being guaranteed by stubhub yesterdat and listed because tickets were "in hand" not speculation. I contacted them already to ask this.As advised yesterday and @Max Tsukino reiterated our mods are looking into it or have reported it. That is something.
