Huge thanks to every member of #TeamMencap who has made this Virgin Money UK London Marathon so special. 🙏

That includes every volunteer, cheerer, and organiser behind the scenes who has done so much to make sure today was a fantastic occasion. 👍

And of course, we'd like to especially thank every runner who has raised money to help us support people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives. 🙌

You've been amazing. ❤

Not all heroes wear capes. 🦸‍♀️

Some wear Mencap running vests! 🎽

Loved seeing the guys from 3 Men 1 Marathon on Good Morning Britain earlier! ❤

Mike, Andrew and Niall talked about the world record they are attempting to break at the Virgin Money UK London Marathon with #TeamMencap on Sunday. 🏃‍♂️

As if a marathon isn't enough of a challenge, they'll be taking it on tied together by the ankles, running a "four-legged" race... Amazing! 🤩

Good luck guys, hope you become record breakers. 🤞

"More than anything else, being inclusive means being able to embrace those differences and see them as strengths to how we can build meaningful relationships, challenging ourselves to broaden our reach and include voices that are often overshadowed." 💬

For National Inclusion Week, chair of Mencap's Voices Council Jack Welch says why it's vital that the lived experience of people with a learning disability is heard at the highest levels, and how the Voices Council helps make that happen.

7.30pm can’t come quick enough!

Join us for Three Rivers, a virtual/live performance featuring young musicians from Music Generation Carlow, Music Generation Laois and the Strabane Brass Band.

All three ensembles will perform in their local arts theatre; the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, the Dunamaise Arts Centre, and the Alley Theatre.  Each ensemble will perform live, to an audience, but the performance will also stream live into the theatres of the other two performers. (How cool!)

The full performance will also stream live through each ensembles social media accounts, so wherever you are this evening - don’t miss this!
