If we still appreciate the physical versus cyber-I'll take age.  Nothing beats putting the disc into the machine, hitting play and hearing that sound not being compressed.  I like even looking at my U2 dvds on the rack.  They always make me smile.

Same here.

I'd love for JT 2017 to be released this year.  I was thinking about how long it would take to edit, press and distribute the DVD/BD.  I know that the band puts their collective and creative hands in the production of tour videos.  And, I wonder if they are using the period between tour legs for some R&R or to work (revising set-lists for Europe, JT '17 DVD/BD, etc.)  It would seem right to release JT '17 hot off of the heels of this current tour.  Demand would be at its highest and they could capitalize on the holiday buying season.  Obviously, this is my take on it and I know nothing.

I remember having the VHS copies of Rattle & Hum, ZOO TV Outside Broadcast and PopMart (Live from Mexico).  They were regular occupants in my Sony S-VHS VCR (oh, yeah).  Unfortunately, the VCR died and by that time, I had converted DVD player (Sony as well).  I can't remember how long it took, but it was a while before they came out on DVD and I did buy them.  I agree it would be totally awesome to have ZOO TV, PopMart, Elevation and Vertigo on Blu-Ray--all in one set.

Yes, I loved those VHS tapes too - wore them all out! :D Sony always makes good stuff - that's why my 5.1 system is Sony. B) (It's also why I'm aching for everything in BluRay too - odds of surround sound are increased with BluRay (yes, there is 5.1 for DVD as well, but for BluRay it is more likely and sounds a bit better).)

I'm hoping for a double serving this Xmas - but I'd be happy for just JT if they wanted to release things more progressively.

I saw this yesterday:

I have been having bad headaches from seeing so many shows in a short span of time. (small price to pay even though they are nasty)  I can't look straight at the screen.  I thought this was an official announcement by the band for a dvd/blu ray in October.  Sadly, it is not.  I like streaming this guy's work.  Can someone please explain how he legally does this?  I see that he is attached with other U2 sites.  I am trying to understand, not criticize.  I would search and read on my own.  I am typing and looking at the screen from a thirty degree angle.  (no complaints)  I thought HERE IT IS!  OCTOBER!  ONE BLU RAY ON THE WAY!!!!     nope.   lmfao.   I love life but I want my TJT30 Bluray.  This trailer got me very excited.  I can stream this. I want that full sound dmway keeps mentioning.  I want the cool U2 packaging. Someone mentioned putting a stamp on something and sending it up...please do!   I'm begging but being goofy.  ?

I still have mine.  We also used to tape their vids on MTV and then sync them with the cds for better sound.

Is that true, and where do you have this information from? Well, THAT would be a christmas gift!!! :)

Not official. Any official news will always be posted on the main U2.com main page and in here by U2Comminity or one of the moderators.
