Subscriber davidcollopy Posted January 31, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted January 31, 2018 Unbelievable.... Pre sale tickets on sale yesterday and today are already on Ticketmaster sister website Seatwave for 9 times face value, nearly 2000 European leg tickets .. These are Ticketmasters terms and conditions regarding buying tickets on their site.. 7.3 You may not resell or transfer your Tickets if prohibited by law. In addition, Event Partners may prohibit the resale or transfer of tickets for some events. Any resale or transfer (or attempted resale or transfer) of a ticket in breach of the applicable law or any restrictions imposed by the Event Partner is grounds for seizure or cancellation of that Ticket without refund or other compensation. Absolutely disgraceful.. They are facilitating touts to rip off genuine fans....
Subscriber RockNrollDoggy269 Posted January 31, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted January 31, 2018 I totally agree mate. It needs stopping. I wish we could do something about it. It was the same trying to get Foo Fighters tickets. Not a hope in hell.

Subscriber Ally A Posted February 1, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted February 1, 2018 This is a much bigger issue than U2 and their management. Until government outlaws online reselling above face value, this will continue. Individual artists can do some things like CC entry but that creates other problems for genuine fans.

I find it incredible that a ticket partner of U2's can blatantly run their own secondary reselling platform (Getmein is TM btw). All this faffing around over touting....it is so easy, names on tickets, ID on entry. That will cut out the majority of it instantly trust me. It seems to me that bands and their management don't seem to be too bothered. After reading this artcle: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-38131028 it would seem that it may even be in some artists' financial interests to rip off their own fanbase. If I got a whiff of this with U2 or any band I love, my support will be gone forever.
Subscriber stateless Posted February 1, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted February 1, 2018 This is why so many are upset at the dire threats and warning to fans sharing codes or worried about using new codes given to us in error. When band management and LiveNation (basically the same thing) do nothing to cancel scalped seats AND turn a blind eye on subsidiary Ticketmaster (and its various scalping entities) engaging in sanctioned scalping, is it any surprise fans are upset? We're just trying to see the band we love and spend stupid amount of money on travel to do so, yet we're the ones being made to jump through hoops while LN changes the rules at will and with no consistency or transparency. They can't claim it's to stop scalpers when they're also engaged in doing it, or are turning a blind eye to TM an venues doing it. If they really wanted to stop scalping, start there - not with fans.
Subscriber shakyfan Posted February 3, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted February 3, 2018 I see hundreds of posts putting all the blame on the people doing the re-sellers! What about those people who actually pay the silly money for these tickts? Do they not play a part too? If people didn't pay these sums, the touts might not be so keen to take the risk. OK you're not going to ever be able to stop it completely but it would help!

Subscriber richevs Posted February 3, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted February 3, 2018 Hey click on the tickets link for Madison Square Garden. Ticketmaster page shows half the sold out seats are VERIFIED FANS reselling their tix at 3 times price. Problem is Livenation own U2, own primary ticket sites and own secondary ticket sites
