Subscriber hadilley 1 Posted October 15, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted October 15, 2019 Anyone know who the opening band for Toyko will be? Or when it might be announced? Thanks!!
Subscriber jonno77 36 Posted October 18, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted October 18, 2019 I wonder if there will be one if not announced yet. Think they didn’t have an opener in Japan in 2006 even though other countries did.
Subscriber ddarroch 54 Posted October 28, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted October 28, 2019 Sounds like the show starts & finishes earlier in Japan than other places. So maybe no time for an opener. I hope there is though, or even better, a longer U2 set 😂

Bigger shows in Japan don't always have an opening act for reasons I am not privy to. Cost? Logistics? Early finish times so we can all get to work in the morning? Who knows. But, no, the Vertigo tour didn't have an opening act, lo, those many years ago so it's not unusual. Let's hope the extra time is well used with a few more amazing U2unes! Having said that it is a good time to mention it would be terrible to be late since there's no opening act cushion! You don't want to miss a thing!
