Subscriber Thanksandy Posted May 21 Subscriber Share Posted May 21 Hey everyone, I saw some suggestions on the facebook groups about U2 fans meeting up before or on the day of the shows. I'm not sure what the easiest way to do it is, either having different threads for each date of the tour and listing potential venues and times to meet. I'm interested to know what people think. I'll be going on the Saturday 30th September, but will be in Vegas from 27th Sept-1st October.

In the past, we have done a community calendar that events can be added to and people can rsvp to the events. 4 2

Subscriber VelvetRebelMusic Posted June 25 Subscriber Share Posted June 25 U2 Hollywood is playing Hard Rock on the Strip October 6th, 12th and 19th. Plenty of room for a meet-up as the venue holds 1,000. There will also be some breakfast acoustic sets as well with an artist who does a deep set of U2 songs. Will get the dates posted here. Might be fun to arrange a brunch. If you're coming from the UK (or love football), the Hard Rock Cafe also shows all the Prem League matches from the top teams like West Ham to the small clubs like Tottenham so you're covered if you want to see a match.

Subscriber Kater5974 Posted July 2 Subscriber Share Posted July 2 Hi everyone, I'm coming from Australia for the 5th and 8th October shows. Just can't wait Achtung Baby is literally my favourite album of all time. Looking forward to meeting many fellow U2 fans. I do have a question, does anyone know how the GA lines are managed in the States? Just wondering what the queues will be like. At Joshua Tree 2019 in Sydney I was in shock (and awe) at how many people traveled internationally. Arrived at 3 am the day of the concert to be about 250th in line. I'm not familiar with how these things run overseas so just thought I'd ask. Thanks for any tips.

The venue itself hasn't yet been completed, no one has played there before, we don't know exactly how many GA tickets there will be, what the process will be for entering, or really anything else. What I have noticed, speaking more generally about concert tours in the year 2023, is that many artists of a similar stature to U2, like Bruce Springsteen for example, are charging more for tickets than they ever have before, and offering smaller general admission areas than have been offered in previous years. As a result, just having a GA ticket to begin with means that you're already in a better position than 95% of the people attending the show, and that seems to have reduced the amount of queuing that people are willing to do beforehand. I had a GA ticket for Springsteen earlier this year, and rather than waiting there all day, I walked in 5 minutes before he went onstage, and wound up in the second row - the kind of spot that used to take hours of waiting to secure on previous tours didn't require any waiting this time around. There will probably always be a handful of people who will still spend a significant amount of time in line to be first, but it seems fewer than in years past. I'm not sure you'll be able to get much additional clarity until opening night. Even if they do dress rehearsals in the weeks beforehand, those won't really give much of a clue for how the venue is going to handle ticketed patrons.
Subscriber Steelerfan Posted July 3 Subscriber Share Posted July 3 I can't imaging being in front of GA is going to give you the best appreciation of all this venue and the massive video has to offer. But of course there are always some that just have to be close to the band

Thanks so much for your reply.
