  1. I've been listening to Channel 30 on SiriusXM all day at work and it's fantastic!!!! U2 really needs a dedicated channel on SiriusXM like Pearl Jam/Grateful Dead/Bruce Springsteen etc....
  2. Come on guys just find a way to go, these shows are life experiences. I am Catholic and brought 2 Evangelical Christians and we met a group that flew in from Dubai at the last show, in Indianapolis. It's amazing....
  3. OK I made some negative posts about O'Seary and the presales but after the dust has settled I want to recant some of my emotional posts in the midst of these ticketing changes: 1. U2 has always been on the forefront of tech advancement and change, and so I can see how Live Nation would want to experiment with their fanbase because we obviously are drawn to this band because of their engagement in the world and involvement with their fans. 2. The goal is to shutout the bots and get tickets in the hands of their biggest fans first and also extracting some of the profit that used to go
  4. This album is just great start to finish, the track order chosen is perfect. Really getting into Red Flag Day right now, I think it will be fantastic live.... Can't wait for Chicago and LV shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. This album is a "gift" and what a great present to open before Christmas. Fitting that "gift" is also the name of the poem that Bono quotes before the performance of Get Out Of Your Own Way in Trafalgar Square. I looked this one up, it's by a Polish poet and it's beautiful. http://www.u2.com/news/title/in-london-for-the-mtvemas Gift A day so happy. Fog lifted early, I worked in the garden. Hummingbirds were stopping over honeysuckle flowers. There was no thing on earth I wanted to possess. I knew no one worth my envying him. Whatever evil I had suffered, I forgot. To think that once I
  6. This is a fantastic album, so varied and rich in substance and quality of the music. I have been listening to it nonstop and during my work commutes and I cannot wait to hear this album live!
  7. Ok I was pretty negative about the presale experience but this is a new process and I know the intent is genuine. I did ultimately get the tickets I desired through a presale code and also through a reseller.
  8. The fact of the matter is that the most stress and hassle free, time efficient way of getting tickets is to go through a scalper i.e. StubHub. I bought my GA tickets for LV through StubHub and ignored the text with my new presale code, not worth the time. I figure over next few years of not paying for a U2.com membership fees for me and my wife’s account it will easily cover the scalper markup. Ultimately, you’ve frustrated the fanbase turning getting tickets into the computer algorithmic equivalent of standing in line for bread in a communist country. Well, capitalism just won. However, in t
  9. Not sure how this works, never done it before, so if there is any info on lining up for GA preconcert would be great if info gets posted here....
  10. Same here, saw them at Hoosier Dome in 1987 and many times after can't wait for this show at Lucas Oil Stadium!
  11. Love this song! I really like the Kygo remix too, hope they release it on iTunes as well at some point! I'll be in GA in Indianapolis this Sunday hope they play it....
  12. Not sure what happened today my code for presale wouldn't work. I'm calling support now....
  13. Ok so my old code will reappear closer to the presale and I'll be able to get the remaining 2 tickets? Just confusing because my original code is nowhere to be found on the site/in my account.
  14. So even though my original code is gone and I used 2 tickets for Chicago last show, I should still keep checking back on the site and expect to get a new code with a 2 ticket max (making it 4 total for subscription) for the new Sept/Oct dates?
  15. Ok so I bought 2 tickets for Chicago June 4 show and was thinking I could still get 2 more tickets (4 max) for new Sept/Oct shows after reading this under Tour FAQs on this site: "Q - If someone has part-used their presale code in the leg 1 presales (for shows between May 12 and August 1), will they be able to use the rest of it on leg 2 presales (for shows in September and October)? A - YES, up to a maximum of four tickets per subscriber." Apparently this is not the case as I called U2.com support at 1-855-867-5297 and was told once the code is used that's it and I won't be gettin
  16. It's a bunch of garbage, this is not about going after "scalpers". These tickets are my property. I should be able to do with them as I please. If I have a business meeting and can't attend I should be able to give them to a family member. Basically my credit card company owns the tickets. Raises interesting legal questions.
  17. It would be impossible to relocate all of the fans affected, I'm surprised those seats are still being sold at that price to fan club members. http://mistressofallevil.blogspot.com/2009/09/in-which-i-bitch-about-soldier-field.html
  18. Why when I called the U2.com site didn't they tell me that my Wires code would work today for VIP packages????
  19. Actually I don't think it expired, I just renewed it and I think that made me a new member.
  20. I don't understand how I'm in the Wires Group when I've been a paying member every year since the site's inception. I had no idea it had expired. Not sure how I'm lumped in with new members.

    Which hotel?

Getting a cab is a pain, there will be very entrepreneurial sketchy types frantically trying to get you to run with them about a 1/2 to 1 mile down the street past Malcolm X college to the highway ramp where they will use their beat up orange flags to wave down the next cab. They then harass you for a tip as they open cab door for you. It's that congested and almost impossible to get a cab right outside the UC, you won't get a cab for a long time unless you use crackhead cab finders. If you are there with your wife or girlfriend it will freak them out. Not a nice area around United Center.
  22. It's not a smart strategy, a huge pool of new fans for them are their older fans' children who grew up listening to their music we were playing. A first concert experience for my kids in their early teens seeing U2 would be life changing! Shaping their music preferences and helping cement their ongoing legacy and future sales. I'm a huge fan! I want to help them do this!
  23. That is so helpful! I'll skip buying middle of the week Chicago show since it's a 2 1/2 hour drive for me and I'm limited to only two tickets. I'll wait for a Chicago weekend show and skip the presale.
  24. Ok I have no presale codes, the presale takes place during my office hours while I'm seeing scheduled patients. You know what, I think I'm getting too old for this bullshit!
