  1. I just went to the Rogers Centre ticket office. (Toronto) All floor seats and all fan club seats require credit card. The rest do not. He said you can change the credit card number at Ticketmaster, but I'm not sure how that would be done. I know now this is probably posted elsewhere, but I couldn't find out from searching. And now I can't remember where I posted the question (help me ?). Thought I'd share as it might help somebody else

  3. Oh yes I peeked! I'm someone who prefers the lesser known (not hits) songs, purely because I've heard the others live so many times. Seems the set list keeps changing a bit so I'll have to see!
  4. Peek! If you are anything like me you won't be able to resist.
  5. Thank you for all the comments and suggestions!
  6. It sounds appealing when you say it like that. But I didn't like GA even when I was a teenager, never mind now. For me it's being pushed around, getting drinks spilled on me and a sore neck. I like being further away to take in the whole show, for 360 and the last tour you missed so much if you were very close. But you've made me wonder about trying GA sometime. Now I'm all out of luck on the public sale. And people wonder why we use scalpers.
  7. I got a polite and apologetic email reply for the help line. 'Presale tickets are not guaranteed, membership is non-refundable'. The link on the Ticketmaster site that said "Buy pre-sale tickets when you join U2.com' there was no 'maybe'. Not fun feeling like a sucker. (As she sits watching the 'searching' on the general sale for the last 10 minutes)
  8. Subscriptions are non-refundable. Even under these circumstances? It never entered my head that you guys would let this could happen. Now I feel ripped off and disrespected by the U2 family and business, and that feeling will now be connected to music I love and have loved since 1987 and before. The loss is much greater than the $50, please.... there must be something that can be done.
  9. Well it's now 5pm, I've spent hours ploughing through these threads for ideas and trying them, hours wasted, and I got nothing. I re-joined the site to purchase tickets in the pre-sale, that was my only reason. How do I go about getting my money back?
  10. You have access to the best tickets in the house, and you feel ripped off??? And we are a day or two after the presale. $70 GA best tickets? Why are they the cheapest then...am I missing something? I can't stand all that time, I wanted the high price seats with a good view not too far away. Figured they would be tough to get in the public sale, so rejoined the club for $50 to ensure I got decent ones.
  11. I rejoined the U2 fan club purely to get pre sale tickets. I've run out of time and have wasted hours with the same problems as others, no tickets available, $70 GA tickets only, or continuous searching. Feel like I want to shoot myself. I wonder if I can get the $50 back, I hate feeling ripped off it taints the whole experience.
  12. I went to both and loved them. I've come to expect excellence from this band, and i got it, but I have to say this time around Bono's voice was really incredible. Highlight for me was BAD, which is one of very favourite U2 songs that I had never heard at a live show before. I also really liked the opening 'Joey Ramone' song, which on the album I thought was so so, and the Bono came onstage was wonderful.. Also loved the girl Stephanie, she looked so authentic. Was a little disappointed as I thought when these shows were advertised it was going to be two radically different set lists. I'm trying to find the name of the song that was played as we left the building, and secondly a video where Bono addressed Dave Grohl on Beautiful Day. Can anybody help?
  13. Thank you. I still have no idea where you got that though. I looked again, but I have to get ready for this show. Thanks again!
  14. Please read tour FAQ before asking It is pretty well known by this point that there's no opening act this tour. It's basically an evening with U2. I'm going to both shows in Toronto, not sure how I could have known this. Well known you say? I'm a subscriber here and have been for years, but have limited time to browse the forums. I just looked for a tour FAQ on the tour page, couldn't find it. I looked at Zoo forums FAQ and nothing about the tour there.
  15. Sure, he's an example of how accepted photography at a concert used to be, albeit an extreme one. It was much rarer though, now it's the norm. Thanks for posting the video though, its always fun to watch that one.
  16. I saw Roger Waters in an interview talking about this, said it drove him nuts. "I would never turn on a cell phone at any musical event," wrote Roger Waters, former bassist and vocalist for Pink Floyd. People behind you are like 'put your phone down we can't see' Bring Me The Horizon fan "It would seem to me to show a lack of respect to and care for fellow concert goers, or for that matter the artist. "Apart from anything else, how could I possibly truly experience the thing I'd paid to see and hear, if I was fiddling with an iPhone, filming or twittering or chatting or whatever?"
  17. I know you were talking about photography specifically, but Axl Rose isn't really a good example of anything is he? Such a jackass. And now he has to be one the saddest aging rock stars ever. He never had any respect for his fans at all. One of the many reasons I have respect for U2, is their dedication to putting on a good show for the fans, even before they had a big budget . Over the years I've never seen any behaviour from them even remotely like that. (Unless I'm missing something)
  18. It seems to be all about proof of being there, or maybe catching a moment (like Edge falling off stage) that may go viral. I saw Oprah on letterman last week, and she was saying how people asking for selfless is exhausting. One woman who was trying to get a selfie with her she couldn't get close enough to, so Oprah told her 'I have to keep moving, just take the picture', and the fan said 'I don't want a picture of you without me in it!' LOL Self obsessed world we live in. The phones at shows annoy the hell out of me, but I'm thinking it's because I'm the older demographic of fans. I'm trying to accept it as the way things are now, and let's face it, U2 do encourage it. (Last nights Prince show without them waving around was so great…sigh)
  19. Hey Lily, 1st time at a Prince show?? You're in for a real treat.... did he do that last minute onsale thing?? Small club?? I saw him in 2012 at a small club in MTL, 3hr show, totally awesome!! Sorry U2 forum, I know it's not U2 stuff I just wrote, but hey, it is what it is loll Third time for me, but first time in a small venue to a 'surprise' show (tickets only went on sale yesterday, show tonight ) Thanks!
  20. I'm going to see Prince tonight, cameras and cell phone photography or video are strictly prohibited. I'm very happy about this as I agree with the Original Poster, but it's become such a norm at concerts, tonight should be interesting seeing how they enforce it, may be even more disrupting! !
  21. Lily - the red zone is on the left around the smaller stage. Thanks! And I'm going to look at the 'Invisible' video now.
  22. Wow, I've never seen that Metallica stage before, fantastic! Thanks for posting the seating chart above Ultraviolet, do you know which part is the RED ZONE there?
