  1. I think U2 own it...which is why it was never released on home dvd/3d blu-ray
  2. thanks, thing is, it's a 3D IMAX, and U2 will only show it in a 3D IMAX theatre... I'll search out Fathom Events, but really this can probably only happen if several thousand fans want it...only the band members themselves can give the go ahead I think
  3. @ModSquad any chance of getting this post pinned so that we can get a few hundred-thousand replies?
  4. we just need to get another 3M replies on this post to get the attention of the powers that be
  5. So it's been about 15 years since U23D went around the world in IMAX 3D theatres... Now there's a whole new generation of U2 fans who NEED to see it.... I would have loved to do a poll, but it seems I am unable to do poll on this forum... Don't U2's new fans since 2005 deserve a chance to see this show in 3D, considering U2 won't release it for home media ...not to mention all of us who went around Europe seeing U2 on the Vertigo Tour ... What do you think?
  6. why not Wembley in London - that weekend is free, but they're playing Twickers, which sucks to get back from after a concert - and surely these days it won't take more than 3 days to break down Adele's stage from the 1st July...
  7. it's not down to the band, it's LiveNation and logistics....is the Bernebau busy those dates, or clearing up from an event, or preparing for an event the following days? I remember seeing them in Barcelona and San Sebastien in 2005 for The Vertigo tour...that was a strange combination in addition to Madrid...

  9. Wembley Arena 2nd June Wembley Stadium 11-12 June Dublin Croke Park 27 June 1987 (met Bono at his Martello Tower home in dun laoghaire in the morning, and failed to tell him it was my 19th birthday), some bloke climbed up on the stadium roof...
  10. so as I have paid £290 for a Gold Ticket at Twickenham, and this is close to the Red Zone cost, what have I paid for? Will I be greeted by the band? Is the ticket gold like Charlie and The Chocolate Factory? What?
  11. I was there, and I think that was the one that Bono climbed up the speaker stack - one of the last times he did it...
  12. it'll very likely be announced within a week or two, same as all the other tours since 1987 .... To my knowledge no major U2 tour has missed Scotland (whether Edinburgh Murrayfield or Glasgow Ibrox) since the early 1980's ... of course, forgetting the stunning LoveTown tour just as strange is how often Australia/NZ get left off major tours, but who cares about them kangaroos anyway
  13. very straightforward foreign exchange calculation used by LiveNation and TicketMaster ]start at €35.00 / £35.00 / $35.00 with general admission floor tickets at €70.00 / £70.00 / $70.00. so just take the price in one curency, and swap out the symbol....never mind all that divisio n and complicated multiplication and all that rubbish about forex markets and exchanges...
  14. Here's my JTT story: I went on a coach tour to Dun laoghaire and stayed in a hotel there before the Saturday night Croke Park concert... In the morning, went to Bono's house (that martello Tower), waled up to the door, and yes, he was in... So I had a little back and forth with one of his family members (you know the type of thing I was at Milton Keynes The Longest Day in June 1985, and Bono said Next time you're in Dublin, you can ask for me, and I'm in Dublin, AND I'M ASKING FOR BONO (I should mention that I was just turned 18, and shouldn't have been let out of the house yet) and yes, Bono came out and said hi, but I was so scared I couldn't tell him it was my birthday ....the gig was great tho the Joshua Tree Tour was chronicled on ITV's World In Action weekly news magazine here in the UK... it's on YouTube...
  15. as in previous tours, there is every chance that either Edinburgh or Glasgow will be added... It's been a rare tour in the last 30 years when they haven't travelled to Wales and Scotland along with England.... so wait a week or two while they argue with TM and Live nation about where they can pitch their tents (will it beEdinburgh Murryfield stadium this time or Glasgow Ibrox?) Additionally, if you don't want to risk waiting, and potentially missing out on the London pre-sale, last year they allowed Zoo members to swap tickets around on the site... but who knows, maybe this year Live Nation will send us all our tickets directly to our brain stems...
  16. on past experience (U2360) you can expect some cheap tickets up in the nose-bleed sections (as they are apparently called) for less than $50 USD, plus cheapish tickets for standing on the pitch (if you wanna queue the night before you can be at the front) plus some expensive tickets like Red Zone in the several hundred dollars range
  17. for me it's got to be Barcelona again (saw the Vertigo Tour there 2005) plus hopefully Brussels or Paris where I also saw them...I wouldn't bother with Twickenham again or Rome seeing as it's impossible to get back to the city center following a late noght gig at those stadiums... Unfortunately, cannot use the Pre-Sale code as won't get paid in time ... So will maybe have to buy my tickets off ebay like everyone else that TM screws on Wednesday
  18. I saw London 3 and 4, and loved them so much I bought a ticket for Monday (didn't hiurt that it was Row J in Block 111 for face value on the AXS website) ... I agree about Zoo TV being the best tour ever by an band, but this is way better than the 360 Tour in my view...for me this is the best they've been since the Zoo TV Tour. BTW, Zoo TV Tour was very heavily scripted, because of the technology, they hardly changed the songs in each leg of the tour...whereas on this tour it does make sense to see 2 shows back to back to see more songs...
  19. this evening I will probably put it up on Viagogo for the face value plus their fees, so £74...
  20. I also have a spare one for London 5, 2nd Nov, please PM me
  21. so with the O2 fees it's £64, please PM me, more details in my post on the main forum...
  22. WOW! What a stunning 2 shows I have been to... Now Monday...I have a GA Ticket available for sale, face value + the fees (£64), please PM me if interested, full details on my other post in the main forum...
  23. so I was just checking out the O2 ticket site to see if I could score a ticket for Tuesday to complete my collection of London concerts, and there are atleast 2-3 tickets for RED ZONE available... I seriously hope a fan sees this and buys them before they get touted on StubHub
  24. Hi, Not sure if I am allowed to arrange to sell tickets on here - if I am not then I am sorry - but it's probably nicer than StubHub or Viagogo or GetMeIn or eBay... I have managed to score myself block 111 Row J seats (and I am too old, lazy, and fat to stand in GA) so I would like to sell my GA TICKETLESS ENTRY to a fan on here for FACE VALUE +SERVICE CHARGE + FACILITY FEE which is £64 GBP. Please note: I will be arriving at the O2 NOT BEFORE 6.30 pm, and I will have to use my debit card to get you into the GA Entry which is door F before I will go and collect my own ticket from the Box Office. I think the best option would be I would forward the email confirmation from AXS/O2 and print out the confirmation to bring it with me so the buyer can see that it's real then we can smoke some cigarettes and tell some tall tales about who loves U2 more and has been to more gigs before I get you through Gate F... Please reply on here then PM me. I will wait 24 hours before I post the tickets on Viagogo (for the same price + Viagogo fees which means £72.74)... Again, sorry if this is not allowed... Philip
  25. Stunning show, going back to the O2 tonight in block 111 right in the centre... have GA tickets for Monday...am mulling over going back a fourth time on Tuesday Such a shame they didn't hire a session musician to play Bono's guitar on The Fly - that's the only favourite that I probably won't hear between last night and the next 3!
