Larry Mullen is an instinctive battery which, like the rest of U2, playing with naturalness, straight from the heart. Larry has never been filled with the songs of U2 complex drum parts, has always understood the importance of breaks-laden drama. CuandoU2 got its deserved recognition in the'80s, Larry already had a mature style that contradicted] on his youth.
Grown in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, Larry started playing the piano, but soon switched to drums at age 9 years. From the beginning I wanted to play in their own way not being very enthusiastic and learning techniques. While attended Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin, Larry put a note on the bulletin board with "seek musicians, this was the beginning of U2. He was only 15 years and had to spend most of their salary from the work of short grass compared to the first battery.
