*Cough cough*?? Im alergic to set list debates. ?
I was at both shows. I loved them both. With a back catalogue like theirs there will always be something you wished would make it to the set list. Why is the set list relatively unchanged, its a performance. Visuals & all. They have to stick to some certainty to put on a great show. And that they did.
For me, I love the experience. Theyre my band. I loved seeing them again. It was just what I needed. Now I want more so I patiently await tour dates near me. ?

said with humor: So you mean I have to spend 86 minutes to get the answer to a question when you could have typed it in one? Yikes. There are four more unanswered questions in my post, dude. You need to stop or I'm gonna miss the Chicago shows. haha
It's funny when they introduce his wife as Cool Chick/Teacher/Wife or something similar; Cool Chick being of primary importance. Very funny. I did not know about this. I'm looking forward to viewing the rest of it after dinner. Thank you.
To know U2 Brother/ Mark you must see the video....
I dont know him personally but have run into him a number of times at the shows. He's a cool dude.

I’m still walking around, can’t find any sign of the GA sign up. Has anyone seen anything?
The unofficial line isn't permitted on the property. I saw it by NY NY where the bars ,& restaurants are. They're by the red tables with a sign.

RED zone is pretty easy to spot. Ive done it a few times in the past. Look for the (RED) sign. You'll stand in line first for arm banding then next to get in. You will need your ID and it wouldn't hurt to bring the credit card you used to make the purchase. There will be RED zone people there to assist you. Check with them on any questions you have. Arena staff don't always know what's going on with the RED zone. Just look for the big red sign

first of all - everyone have a great time tonight, those of us who cannot attend opening night are mega jealous! For those having angst about the GA line, the heavy metal band Iron Maiden does a cool thing for their fan club members. All of their shows are GA on the floor. They have a drawing about a month before each show for what they call "First To The Barrier" which allows fan club members (plus 1 guest) with GA floor tix entry to the venue 15 minutes early so they can get prime positions on the floor. I would think U2 could easily adopt this practice or do something like allow fan club GA ticket holders entry to the floor via a separate line and let that line in first before the general public. Or maybe I'm just rambling... anyway, everyone have fun tonight.
Pearl Jam does a lottery also. I'm not sure on specifics but I am a 10 club member (fan club) and tried for Ga. They, I believe, reserved the GA pit for the fanclub and did it lottery style.

So..how did GA worked? Did the "sharpie fan made" line worked? Or did they start a new one following venue rules?
It appears the pre lineup numbers were honored for the official line.

I'm not upset. I don't like the idea of bullies getting their way at the expense of those who obeyed the rules. That's it. Chances are I'm not even doing GA. If I do it in Chicago, I can text someone and he'll send security. Not everyone has that liberty. That being said. I'm gonna stop as I fear I'm harping. If so, pardon me. I hate elitism/gangs/entitlement.
Youre preaching to the choir. But I have anxiety. I have had an anxiety attack at a concert once ( long story & not U2 related) & full on dont remember the concert. For me Its more about putting myself first is all, I just don't have the desire to argue with a gang of superfans. I see many of the same people at the U2 concerts. There are more if them then there are me. Me, Id just like to enjoy myself & have a good time.
Best of luck to those who are fighting to do GA the right way. I wish you luck.
Side note, for the record, Im not one of the “bullies” running the lines. ( Well depending on who you ask, Im not winning any popularity contests anytime soon). Ive been around this forum for over 10 years. Ive simply just seen & experienced enough. Im doing seats for different dates.
I understand the frustration but dont think this thread is the right spot to vent frustration or anger about it. Im definitely not the right person. Best of luck.

I just spoke with people at the BOK Center. They said that the line starts with the first person in line at the time announced. Nobody with magic marker numbers will be allowed to skip ahead of whomever is there first, at the announced time. They are going to have a couple of members who are higher up in rank, from the venue, out and making sure things go smoothly. I repeatedly asked, "So the first person who is there at the proper time announced is the first person into the venue for GA?". I was told, "Yes. Nobody with a number on their wrist from whenever should be allowed to go in front. The person there at the correct time is the person who properly waited all day. No previous numbers will be honored.". I was told that those shapie numbers, already preassigned by whomever decides he or she is in charge, are not valid. If they show up and demand to be put in front-those who obeyeed the rules and starting lining up at the proper time should say, "No. We were here first as the rules clearly stated.:". There should be upper-tiered people about, along with security. If the sharpie numbered people start raising a fit-go get security. and ask for a supervisor if security does nothing. They will respond. I already let the venue know this is happening. They are now aware of it.
I'm not going to this show. I feel so strongly about this that I had to do something. Whomever obeys the rules and is first should get into the venue first. The people at the BOK Center said, "Yes. That is the case.". You may have a disagreement on your hands. The rules are the rules. People who consider themselves above the rules love to kick and scream. It's my experience that when one does not back down...they stop kicking and quickly retreat.
The BOK phone number is (918) 894-4200. If you are doing GA and worried about people skipping in line, call them. It will make them more aware. I warned them this was happening so they already have one. A coupld more would not hurt.
They said that at other venues also... The informal GA always gets what they want. Best of luck to all the GAers.
For the record, I'm pro- official GA line. I've just seen this Conversation happen so much, & had a similar experience when I attended Cleveland, that I've just seen the same group of people running things/supporting each other always get what they're after.
I'm more about enjoying my own experience to allow myself to ever get upset over it. Cest la vie.
I truly hope everyone has a positive, memorable, and fun experience.

It will be interesting to see how the GA line works out. The venue has indicated that they do not intend to honor any lineup started off-premises before 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The informal GA always wins... it's why it has continued this long. I would not anticipate the band or management stepping in to start something more official. Again, it's the way it's always been.

The One Tree Hill song dedication to Chester Bennington (from this concert) was aired at the tribute concert last night. If you are a fan of Linkin Park's music its worth watching the entire thing. It was a fantastic tribute. They even snippeted in some With or Without You to one of the songs in the beginning.
Here is the start of where U2 came in:

My anxiety doesn't permit me to participate in fan chats anymore 😳... But this is cool they're doing a surprise Twitter chat with the fans of the countries they are visiting. I think that is a first! 😀
