The credit card entry is wrong on so many levels. It does "somewhat" deter scalpers but of course they have figured ways around it. DO NOT MISREAD THIS - I AM ALL IN FAVOR OF CURTAILING SCALPING ( even though it does fly in the face of capitalism).

 

What it does do is take away our rights as fans and ticket holders. There is no good way for fans to swap a ga ticket with another fan for another show or for a fan to recoup their ticket cost for a show they can't attend. Many of us like to see U2 multiple times in multiple cities and sometimes life happens where we can't make a particular show. At this point, we can't even give the tickets away.

 

This is my proposal Ticketmaster and the band need to agree that we should have the ability to:

 

Resell GA tickets at face value only exclusively through Ticketmaster resale site.

 

Trade/Transfer a GA ticket for one show to a customer with a GA ticket for another show. Ticketmaster could even charge a processing fee (gasp)

 

 

In this scenario, everyone wins. Customers who can't attend can recoup most of their original cost. Ticketmaster wins as they collect fees on all transactions and the band gets their desire to slow down scalpers.

 

I am investing an online petition but want to make sure I can get it to someone that cares and can make a difference.

I ordered in the presale and ordered general admission for July 26th show. I received my tickets in the mail 2 days ago. hard ticketmaster tickets.....

I know it that a joke or what..?? ticketmaster makes you enter a code to "prevent" scalping but the are the biggest scalpers out there!!!!!

you forgot a category for none!!! I got none and im not paying $312 for a ticket...

it comes down to greed... by the band, promoters, venue, etc........... all fans need to boycott concerts and sporting events for one year and you will see how fast prices and the ticketing system change!!!!

but few people scored general admission for MSG in the presale.. this whole ticketing process/fan clubs is crap!

now, have in mind that there is a lot of activity. There is no other option but to exercise all possible patience available and keep trying...

 

some people have reported they have success by having several web browsers opened at the same time... for others, clearing cookies and cache does the trick. For some others using the TM mobile app has been succesful. Please try any of all of these...

It's possible that there are, but I can give you 100% assurances...

 

some people have had a pause of hours, and when trying they find GAs or Lower price tickets... be aware that your mileage will certainly vary...

 

Be also aware that by now, it will very very difficult to find pairs... not impossible, but very difficult...

 

So you don't know what tickets are left? Isn't this site in combination with ticketmaster having the pre-sale? Can't you look up what inventory is left?

THIS whole system is a joke... if I want a chance at a pre-sale I  have to pay $50...... if I don't then there are never ANY tickets left for the general on-sale.... the whole ticketing system stinks and so do ALL these band fan clubs!!!
